Hmm.... So all I have to do is throw a few pillows to summon a zombie Smi? I'll be nice and try to follow the no dying rule of our guild. They just look like they *need* pillows thrown at them, though! Maybe a few pillow fights would make them less uptight.

HA...this is a riot. I love it. I don't know how many times in the past a emoted a stormie. I need to try this again, I'll get incapped...but hey, it'll be fun

in regards to my previous question on a salute do you think the effects of a rebel vs imperial alligned player saluting an ST will have an effect if there is any?? hrmmm and i wonder if rank/overt status are included too.

If you are covert rebel, do you end up instantly going overt and getting pounded by a huge number of stormtroopers like what happens if they scan you and find contraband?

As of last night you are not given a TEF, nor are you forced overt. I had assumed one or the other would happen, which is why I powerboosted and was wearing the 53/51 medium-grade composite, but all I got was non-attack damage (I guess it's treated like the booby traps in the Geonosian Biolabs and the Corvette) and a cash/FP penalty. I'll see about resigning and trying it as a neutral and then going Imperial and trying it that way. (It pays to have 800+ faction for both sides

Ok - so it wasn't just me who found this out. I happened to be walking by a stormie last night with my neutral character, and I couldn't resist giving him a /bonk as I passed by - when suddenly I got incapped, and fined imp faction and 5k! This was a new character I had just made who only had 1.25k to her name, and I was on my way to the starport bazaar to see if I could find something better than those stupid desert crawlers to wear. So much for my new dress, so I decided to see what else these NPC's would respond to. Well after getting fined about 50k in credits, losing about 600 imp FP, and getting incapped several more times, I found out they respond to a lot of emotes - pretty much anything physical will get you incapped (/nelson, /tickle, /bonk, etc), and anything rude or disrespectful will get you fined and docked imp FP (/curse, /feh, /imitate, etc.). They also don't seem to respond well to affectionate emotes either (/hug, /kiss). I thought it was pretty funny!
Then one of the times I got incapped, an overt imp came by and asked me what was wrong. I told him how the NPC's were responding to emotes and told him to try a /tickle on one if he wanted to. He was curious so he gave it a try. Turns out he happened to be an imp Colonel so the NPC straightened up, saluted him, and said "Roger that!". Then he told an imp friend of his to try it who was lower ranked, and he got docked FP and fined too. Then while I was talking to this guy, something I said must have triggered an automatic emote or something because I got fined again for something I said in spatial chat. I'm not sure what it was.

I was covert, got scanned and fined and they went on their way! LOL
No TEF or nothin!
Of course, these are the "same" brainiacs that scanned me while I had a TEF in a firefight with 2 other storimes while wearing all sliced armor and using a sliced weapon...they didn't find anything wrong! ROFL

After doing some playing it looks like it depends on your rank also. If you tap some of the low rank stormies they appologise but if you /nelson some of the higher ones they really don't like it, you get fined and they also take a little extra for themselves my 2000 fine actually came to 5000 ;-)

Ha! Looks like you have to watch your every word around a Stormie these days, which is actually pretty cool, because it's a bit more "realistic" that everyone, Rebels and Imperials alike, should be afraid of the Law. Or at least respectful and wary. 
Here's a thread I found in game guides describing more on the "watch what you say..."

this is funny, I will have to go test it out later. It should definately make things interesting around ST's now. ...if only they would fine those pesky afk spammers at the spacrports! ...Now there is an idea!!
