Thread: When is it our turn?
GarVa,
Before we start patting SOE on the back for being SO responsive to tailor's issues lets look at the facts shall we? Here are the top tailor issues of 07/03 (last year)
http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=tailor&message.id=342&highlight=#M342
1. No item decay.
Current status: partially implemented last fall, then dropped before it was completed.
2. Colors
Current status: implemented early last fall (yay!)
3. Mobs dropping high end tailored items
Current status: this problem has arguably gotten much worse as now not only do they drop the same high-end items, but now many high end items absolutely cannot be made without looted components. So it seems there is now a shift towards more looting and less crafting, which was the crux of this original complaint last July.
4. Many items either don't scale correctly to different character models
Current status: no clue. Haven't heard this discussed since (I guess there are bigger fish to fry now) but I certainly don't recall anything changing in this regard.
5. Backpacks and bandoliers
Current status: no fix in sight
6. Loose fitting clothing, like cloaks and dusters, can't be worn over armor
Current status: no fix in sight
7. There appears to be no in-game or out of game documentation or explanation of sockets
Current status: hahahahaha. It's funny to think that this was seen as an issue before the socket nerf. Oh my, not only has this not been explained since, even when requested in 19 questions a month ago, but now it's been needlessly nerfed.
8. Clothing has no in-game benefits other than appearance
Current status: this was certainly improved with the bio tissues fixes late last fall, but a "balance pass" is desperately needed as half of them are useless, and the number of clothing items that you can put useful bonuses in is actually pretty small.
So, to me, of the top 8 items of a year ago, only 1 of thoseitems (colors) was really adressed completely, 1 other one was partially adressed (clothing having no benefits), and the other 6 have been ignored. And of the 6 that were ignored, 2 of the issues have arguably gotten much much worse. And remember, these issues are now over 1 year old. If you look at more recent top 10 type lists I think you'll find a much worse track record than 1 in 8.
