Phew! Glad to hear that! I was afraid I would have to go load up on like 20 storage droids just to carry my supplies around (Maybe I should think about trimming that pack anyway? I mean do I REALLY need 30 crates of synth cloth on me at all times )

Inventory
  • Encumbrance for inventory has been added. If a player's inventory is overfull/overloaded by means of loot, quest rewards, etc, the player will no longer be able to move. If this occurs, a player will have to choose and delete an item from inventory before being able to move again. When you are overloaded by +1 items, your inventory icon begins to blink (like when you have email messages). When you are overloaded by +2 items, you get a big red message in the middle of your screen that never goes away that says "Inventory Overloaded- You can not move."

    • Anyone know what the limit is? I carry a backpack loaded to the gills with crates, crafting tools, and other associated materials for that "Hey, can you make me some cloths" on the spot type of thing. If it is normally hold (100 items total), no big deal, but if its like 50 items total, this would be worse than the original vendor nerf.

I suspect this is the case: if your inventory is full, previously you wouldn't get your phat lewt rewards from Jabba quests or whatnot.

Me gunbunny - me mad me no get reward. Not me fault me can't count inventory items.

Now, it seems, you DO get your reward, but you have to then scurry off to the bank, because when the next reward lands in your inventory (i.e. +2) you get stuck in place, and will have to destroy something else in inventory to become mobile again.

Me gunbunny. Me confused. Why me no can move?

OMG! What kind ofnonsense is this? What was wrong withplayer inventory in the first place!? Once again, they fix something that really didn't need fixing. This is going to make ittough for anyone trying to move their homes and that does happen a lot. When you have to move your house that includes everything in it and most people want to get that done fast as they can. Now it will take longer depending on howbig of a house you have. Filling your pack full and inventory leaving just enough space to get tickets was fine..why did they change this?

Oh and /agree with Asrai, this will make craftingon the spot a pain too sometimes. I suppose item limits in houses wasn't enough, that they have to now give a penalty, i.e. can't move, if your inventory is full. Its like I was willing to accept the vendor item limits since it has to do with the Merchant profession, but this will effect everyonebut not in a good way.

Also, the find friend feature I feel, will have mixed results..convenient for some, a pain in the rear for others. Anyone know why they added this too?

DaAhn i think you've misunderstood. so long as you stay under your limit (60 in inventory and 50 backpack) there is no change.

but if you are forced over (trying to loot an item when you are full) instead of the item just disappearing or not being pulled into your inventory, now it will go in there but you will be over your limit by 1 item and this will slow you down. go over by 2 items and you cant move. (i think )

Good god woman! 30 crates?? I only carry 3 full in the pack and 1 in current use in the main inventory, same for RFP's and Trim. Metal fasteners, jewlery settings and fiberplast panels have 1 unused in the pack and 1 in current use in main.
      /boggle
      30?!?!?

Well, case in point. I had a request to go to Mos Espa Cantina the other night to help a new dancer make an outfit. 3 hours later, I finally managed to get out of there. 24 crates of synth, 10 crates of trim, 5 crates of Jewelry settings, and 6 crates of Metal fasteners gone!

Now I did get on last night and fully load my main inventory and my backpack and had no problems. So this little stealth fix (nerf?) I guess is so the gun bunnies to loose their precious loot. Of course, they may not loose their loot, but they are rooted to the ground in front of all those nightsisters

As far as I can tell, ubese shirts and bandoliers, because they have no armor protection, now function as clothing with 1000 condition, decay upon death, clothing attachments, etc.

Sorry Vandaemus, not to argue with you, (I know your on our side:smileyhappybut I thought you could only have 50 in your inventory, not counting what is in your pack or what you have equipped? And its always been my experience that it would never let me go over 100% full or more then 50 in the base inventory. If i tried it wouldjust tel me "This container is full"I took this to mean that if you have your pack full and your base inventory full, you can't move, thats what it sounded like to me, maybe its just they way they wrote in the patch notes.

But still, why impose a penalty? Why even mess with the inventory in the first place? You have to wonder.

ok let me try this another way. lets say your a gun-bunny (love that phrase ) and you are at your inventory limit, running one of the themeparks. you return to get your reward from whatever NPC sent you on a mission. under the old system the item couldnt be put into your inventory (because its full) and therefore you dont get your reward item. under the new system you get the reward but now your inentory shows limit +1 and you move slower. this allows you then to delete a junk item and be back inside the limit.

i dont see that as a penalty i see it as a slight improvement.

(are you sure its 50 and 50 item limits, because if it is then i am bugged because my base inventory is 60 items)

My BH pack has an item limit of 50 and I can carry 60 items.

I was moving all my stuff yesterday to a new location and had no trouble moving or walking with everything FULL.

It's only if you go OVER the limit somehow that this comes into play.

Ah. I understand now I tested this out and yep you can have 60 items in your base inventory, not including what you have equipped, with a full pack and still move. I appologize if it seemed I was fussing, I was just worried as a crafter, about carrying large amount of materials around with me.*hugs Van and Chiana*

Wasn't the fix for 0 and 1/1 condition clothing supposed to go in this patch? I can still wear my red highlighted, supposedly disabled clothing. I do think that I have had one 0 condition dress just disappear though. I saw it appear on the disabled items list after cloning recently, and now I can't find it anywhere.

Been pestering about that with no response. My best guess is that it may be coming in a minipub, which is when the correspondent issues usually come out. Or never. Then the devs can Ph34r M3!
