Grind or Play: First month and a half - Play, last week, grind, 6 boxes in 2 weeks.
Real life location: Denver, Colorado

In-game shop location: Nashal, Talus 4000, 4250 Valcyln Galaxy
In-game professions: Master Tailor, Merchant 2-4-4-2
Best Tailoring moment: There are so many, it's really hard to think of just one..
Worst Tailoring moment: I think this would be when I was a novice tailor, and struggling so hard in a very small population, and the Masters popping up on Corellia started sending paid advertisements to Nashal.. That was the moment I realized I would have to grind at least some.. In one day my businesss dropped from selling out the bazaar every day, and lots of custom orders, to maybe selling 1 or 2 things a day.. Fortunately I had strong community support...
Grind or Play: Played up until 3-0-2-1, then I did the "grind a new box, play with it for a few days, rinse, wash, repeat"..
Real life location: Wisconsin
In-game name: Naia Draven
In-game shop location: Dearic, Talus (Lowca)
In-game professions: Master Tailor, Master Image Designer, Dancer (going for skilled dancer)
Best Tailoring moment: Hmm, I don't really have one, but I remember the first few days when I made master tailor, many people came to me and gave me their order
. I mean, I still get lots of orders, but going from novice tailor to master tailors, the amount of clothing orders is a huge difference.
Worst Tailoring moment: OMG, this guy came up to me and demanded that I make clothes for him. When I told him the prices, the demanded that I make the clothes for him for free. When I refused, he threatened and did all sorts of ''bad'' stuff to me. Of course, I reported him ![]()
Grind or Play: I grinded and played. I thought it was reasonable.. took me about three months to master tailor and image designer.
Real life location: Connecticut - USA
Aww, thanks Mystyrys. ![]()
It's wonderful to know that we're all going through the same things (the not so nice customers, the excitement of being able to craft everything, being able to outfit people and have satisfied happy customers) but also have our own little stories to tell.
There are some tailors who are no different from the next tailor, and there are some who have made a name for themselves and have explored their profession and the game itself and is here sharing their good and bad moments.
A heartfelt thanks to the posters. Keep them coming! It's a nice relief from all the "buggy" things out there.

In-game name: Qitu - often shortened to just Q
In-game shop location: Mos Entha, Tatooine 100, 3275 Intrepid
In-game professions: Master Tailor, Master Artisan, Merchant 3/4/0/1, Novice Architect, Scout 4/0/2/0, Brawler 0/0/0/3
Best Tailoring moment: Probably a tie between the night in Anchorhead when I had my first tell hell and made 120k in 4 hours, or the night I had four visitors to my shop and things went horribly wrong.
Two men, two women. A raucous group, they ran all over checking out the house (large Tatooine). They were most impressed with my massive fireplace that dominates the room. Then the Master DE discovered the upstairs room with the smoked window that looks down onto the main room. He instantly decided that feature alone was why he was going to buy one. So he could spy, unseen, on visitors. LOL.
Meanwhile, the ladies and I were discussing the fashions I had on display along the balcony. They chose matching outfits, but in alternating colors. I whipped out my R2 to begin crafting their orders. Suddenly, a gigantic, bright red load lifter droid was racing back and forth along the balcony. *clang! clang! clang!* And a veritable zoo of creatures blipped in and out on the main floor below. I was a bit distracted, to say the least.
Then one gent decided it was time to retire for the night. "Someone please kill me." His lady-friend offered to do the deed. He goes, "Wait! Let's do it in front of the fireplace! More dramatic that way!" They faced off, began the duel, and as they fought, he macroed a tragic love poem, one verse with each blow to his opponent, his Lady-love. It was very romantic and dramatic. She cried as she death blowed him and he bid us all farewell.
Meanwhile, the load lifter is still racing on the balcony, I am still crafting clothes, and the other gentleman was sitting in the flames of the fireplace wailing about being the burning man or something. I don't know. I was very distracted.
I finally complete the ladies' outfits, we do our trades, everyone puts away their toys, and weall gooutside to watch the suns set. Then, I don't know why, I mentioned the Pod Racer Course was just over the next rise.
Off we went. Four "Intrepid" explorers. We Ooohed and Aaahed the scenery, lamented the sacrilege of houses being placed all over the course... then we stumbled across a large NPC Imperial base. "Danger! Mine Field!" Being a meek Tailor and not very experienced in these things, I asked if these mines really did anything. Our hero said, "I dunno. Let's see." I typed "Qitu winces and waits for Kyrk to go BOOM!"
Bright white flash! Loud earth-shaking explosion!
BOOM! Corpse of Kyrk. 5 meters from my side - BOOM! Corpse of Silla. I froze. I looked at Yemeni, who was standing about 50 meters away, a mine right beside her. She went LD. I slowly backed away. Yemeni respawned. I said, "Don't move!" She moved. BOOM! Corpse of Yemeni. I ran back the way we had come.
We all agreed it was great fun and that we must do it again soon.
Nights like that cannot be planned nor prepared for. That was a great Tailor moment. Heh.
Worst Tailoring moment: Maybe more of a worst merchant moment, but Tailor typical I guess. When I moved from Naboo to Tatooine, and had to pull all my stock off three vendors and find somewhere to stash it all while I was temporarily homeless.
Grind or Play: Almost all play. Took me a long time to reach master because I like to explore and dabble in other professions and go fishing and find great vistas to add to my hundreds of screenshots. I grinded a little bit near the end of each box, and while bored to death while waiting for shuttles.
Real life location: Nebraska
My goodness Q! That's quite a story...
Why do I suddenly feel like Abz's life is so dull... ![]()
