Thread: Introduce Yourself!
Despite the "not so perfect" moments, let's have a little fun, shall we?
In-game name: Abzintia (nickname Abz)
In-game shop location: Keren, Naboo 1830, 1650 Lowca Galaxy
In-game professions: Master Tailor, Merchant, Dancer, Image Designer
Best Tailoring moment: (Running around Mos Espa wearing a white exotic leotard and silver pendant, guy walks up) "Whoa, that's a slutty outfit..." (Me) "Um..." (Guy) "Please, make me one for my girlfriend! Pleeaasse" (Me) "It's 7500 credits" (Guy) "I don't care, it's slutty, I need her in something slutty" (He starts laughing)
Worst Tailoring moment: Making someone a dress in about 4 different shades of green until he finally had the perfect shade for his in-game wife. He was rather nice and tipped me for all 4, but still... time is precious!
Grind or Play: Played up until Tier 1s of Master Tailor, then I grinded, played, grinded played... it still took me 3.5 months to make Master.
Real life location: Budapest, Hungary, Europe formerly Austin, Texas
what exactly is the point of this thread. most people right there in game name and stuff at the bottom of every post. like me. U can have it set as a macro u kno. just some helpful advice.
Aezo Copas/Tempest/Master Dancer/ Talior0-2-0-0/ Theed-Naboo
Give me a tell if you wabt clohting or Bio-Enhanced clothing
In-game name: Tesra Elation
In-game shop location: Tarquinas, Tatooine
In-game professions: Master Tailor, Dancer, Merchant
Best Tailoring moment: No idea neve thought about it, maybe when i made a lot of money in one day hah.
Worst Tailoring moment: Complex bio-enhance orders, people who dont know what they want, people that mooch when your nice!
Grind or Play: Grind baby!!!!!!! But i made each item in each box every time i leveled up, i did enjoy each box, cept colors i didnt care about those.
Real life location: Georgia
In-game name: Kara Vasa
In-game shop location: Naboo, closest to Kaadara (3466, 6171), Radiant
In-game professions: Master Tailor, Merchant, Novice Pistoleer, soon to be Politician
Best Tailoring moment: I'm a rebel (usually covert) and a guy came in and RPed that he needed a new outfit because he was a spy, had blown his cover, and was trying to get off planet even though his description had been circulated around to all the shuttleport officials. He didn't have any credits, was afraid to access his bank account because they could track him that way, and didn't care what the outfit looked like as long as it was different from what he was wearing. So I made him 2 free outfits of very different styles. And I still had enough IDback then to change his hair and hair color. I rarely give things to charity cases, but he deserved it for being so entertaining!
Worst Tailoring moment: "Can u make me a fleshwrap? That's tooexpensive!!! Oh, well canu make meone for half that?ynot? ur not very nice. but I really need it. Oh, and shoes too. So ur really not going to make me one for a decent price? I'm telling all my friends that ur a ripoff and mean. My pa has a bh who can beat u up for me. I have alot of money and will never buy anything from you again. y won't you make me one?!?!?!" *sigh*
Grind or Play: Played the whole time. Every last bit. Having carpal tunnel = no grinding for me!
Real life location: Cary, North Carolina (previously lived in Plano, TX, Chapel Hill, NC, and Currituck, NC)
In-game name: ArthurDent
In-game shop location: Umbrella Corporation, south of Coronet, Corellia, Bria server
In-game professions: Master Tailor, soon-to-be-master Bio Engineer
Best Tailoring moment: Helping a grateful customer find something they really really like. Have had a few customers come in, schedule "fitting sessions" where I let em try on a lot of different outfits and combos, we brainstorm ideas, try things, only to hear them say "I can't decide, so I want it all" (or nearly all), and then tell me how good they are feeling about their characters "new look(s)", and that they can't wait to go out and do <fill in the blank> now to show off their new clothes. Inevitably a day later I get tells from their friends saying "so and so referred me". That's the best thing about tailoring right there. I've made some very close in-game friends this way as well.
Worst Tailoring moment: Having rude customers who treat you like dirt. Demanding you make multiple things, one after another after another to their specifications, not liking any of them and inferring that it is your fault, that they are "not what they had in mind".
Customers who assume your time is worthless.
Grind or Play: Grind to 2-0-0-2, then play, taking 2 months getting to master.
Real life location: Portland, OR
In-game name: Kathlean / Vandessa
In-game shop location: New Unity, Naboo- Test CenterGalaxy
In-game professions: Master Tailor, Swordsman, Scout, Medic, Master Artisain, Merchant, Architect, Politician
Best Tailoring moment: Seeing 55+ colors for the first time.
Worst Tailoring moment: Someone wanted a wardrobe, mind you he wanted to pay full price but he wanted 20 different 'looks'!
Grind or Play: Played up until about halfway through the profession. Then due to the peer preasure of needing a master on test center, I ground the rest of the way. Took me about 2 months total.
Real life location: Atlanta, Georgia - USA
In-game name: Zelissa Rose
In-game shop location: East of Theed, at -3747 3795...Eclipse server
In-game professions: Master Tailor, Master Merchant, Novice Armorsmith, Novice Entertainer, Novice Mrksman, gave up Master Image Designer...
Best Tailoring moment: When I opened up my shop and got my first customers. I was so proud. ![]()
Worst Tailoring moment: Walking outside my shop to see another tailor's new shop RIGHT next door. Oh and the time when said tailor placed a harvestor outside my door that said "Shop at Nell's Clothing and Accessories, Because Zelissa and Atomei suck and we just rock". Note--the tailor is no longer there, they moved to who knows where. Yayy!

Grind or Play: I did a little of both. Took me a few months to get to Master Tailor. I watched several people I trained get to Master waayyy faster then me, but they also gave up the profession a while later.
Real life location: Kansas
In-game name:Achernar D'Ni (Ach!)
In-game shop location:Outside the ghost town that is Keren on Wanderhome; likely moving to Theed for main operations.
In-game professions:Tailor 0/4/0/0, Merchant 0/1/2/2, Marksman 0/4/0/0, Brawler 4/0/0/0, Medic 0/0/0/3, Artisan 4/4/4/2, Scout 4/0/4/0.
Best Tailoring moment: Staying up an extra hour and a half and getting in trouble with my wife, just so I could set up some contract work (for lack of a better term) with an entire PA, including a busy Armorsmith. Made 15K just for schematics that night; now have guaranteed business from a good sized PA.
Worst Tailoring moment: Realizing how many components for clothes I was going to have to factory produce, when I can't get anyone to buy the stuff I *can* make to pay the maint costs.
Grind or Play: Ground up Field Wear, am now simply having fun with it as I make enough components to get me started into ProfitLand[tm].
Real life location: Green Bay, Wisconsin, temporary residence for one year and then back to Saint Louis, Missouri.

If you want to be insulting, please learn how to spell first. As postedin the first messagethis is just for fun. If you did not want to participate then you should have not posted at all. In addition, I do know about creating a signature seeing as how I have one.

Master Tailor, Master Merchant, Master Artisan (dancing on the side)
Best Tailoring Moment: Myvery successful fashion show, that I put on for the nice folks on our server. I was completely swamped after that for work and still am. Also helping Pex write the wedding guide that in the Friday Feature not too long ago.
Worst: Someone asking me for a FREE spec-ops duster that he bought from another tailor and then lost.
I played for the lower tiered boxes but had to grind for the IV's.
RL: Somewhere in New England, USA
Abzintia... *comfort hug*
Check out Aezo's registration date. Some people don't take the time to find out who the "Elders" are before they open their mouth and insert their foot.
In-game name: Darcy Jones.
In-game shop location: Notfar town, just outside of Mos Espa.
In-game professions: Master Tailor, Dabbling in Pistoller/Merchant/CH.
Best Tailoring moment: On two seperate occasions, being asked to make an 'unusual' garment for a friend, and inadvertantly creating fashion trends that took the town by storm. The outfits, just by the way, were muscle shirt with reinforced pants (the moo pants!), and decorative vests with two-tone skirts.
Worst Tailoring moment: Making a full order of uniforms for a guild that wished to pay me only in whatever hides they had on hand. Not a problem, since I was still grinding now and then -- but they were back the next month demanding entirely different outfits, including Master garments, and still willing to pay only with a few hundred hides. And they pestered. For a while, it was a tell every quarter hour...
Grind or Play: Bit of both. A lot of time was spent in the cantina, during the early weeks, grinding between dancing and socialising. And thank goodness -- grinding the entire way (if I could have afforded the resources for it, which I couldn't) would have bored me to tears, and I'd never have met the fantastic people that I did during that time.
Real life location: Arkansas, US. Originally Sydney, Australia.
In-game name: Alyxandria Montgomery
In-game shop location: Moenia, Naboo 5396,-4188 Starsider Galaxy
In-game professions: Master Tailor, Merchant 3-0-4-4, Architect 4-0-4-0, Marksman 3-0-0-0, Master Artisan
Best Tailoring moment: (Sitting in my shop, refilling inventory during my first few days) Wookie sends /tell:"OMG!!! I've been looking forever for one of you! I will pay good money for you to outfit me from head to toe!" I tell him that I don't charge extra for a custom fitting. He also added "Black, with white as accent, no hoods, but other than that, the sky's the limit!" So I made him every single thing I can make in black/white, even the ugly (imho)newbie stuff I never stock, and he wanted the whole lot!
hehe. Also my VERY first customer 1 month ago, was a twilek lady with purplish skin color and yellowish lekku markings. She didn't really know what she wanted, but after a long time, thought about getting a Tactical Skinsuit with the base matching her skin, and the lines matching her lekku. WOW!!! It rocked! That has got to be my favorite outfit of all
I even did a double-take, when she came walking into my shop wearing that a few days later.
Worst Tailoring moment: Ihave very few of these, since I don't wear my MT title. However, while looking at bazaar terminal in town, somebody said "Make me a costume" Excuse me? You talking to me? Against my better judgement, I responded to him, trying to get him to name a budget that I could work with. I could just tell this was a d00d, lol. Couldn't get him to name a budget, so he finally said "I want a bodysuit" Knowing that he probably didn't have cash to pay for it, I made a tactical skinsuit in the colors that I knew would sell, and instead of letting him try, like I usually do for my customers, I modeled it
He wanted it, and even after I told him I won't sell it for 1k, he still tried to get me to trade with him ![]()
Grind or Play: Grinding all the way! But after spending a full weekend nonstop stocking my vendor with 1000 initial items, I felt Ilearned my stuff quite well ![]()
Real life location: West Coast Canada
