Thread: Seems like alot of new tailors popping up!

You might find my story amusing/encouraging 
My main, Dwar is a DJK, my alt, Mystr was a mswordsman/mdoc pre-CU. I only really used to use him for buffing Dwar and the rest of my guild, since the nerfing of doc and buffs in general, and the fact that any time I go off hunting I just end up going and getting Dwar anyway, I decided to make him a pure non-combat profession for some light relief.
I used to have a joint alt as a 12pt mweaponsmith, but I got very, very tired of looking out for the best resources and all those factory runs, despite getting to the point where we had about 1mill coming in every day.
Tailor is ideal for me as there are few resources needed, little or no experimentation - no worrying about stats or checking swgcraft 24/7. So I decided that Mystr's new template was going to be:
mtailor/merchant3044/ranger0040 - the ranger so I can collect hide/bone for myself and harvest milk/eggs for our guild BE to make me tissues. Basically I can tag along on guild xp grinding groups, set up camp and shout encouragement whilst I roast marshmellows over the campfire, whilst occasionally getting up to skin the odd carcass.
So I logged in with Mystr and did /ui action skillsRespec, dropped all his skills, and respecced the ranger bit. Then I discovered I couldn't respec to merchant or tailor
Eight days later I'd just finished master tailor and had most of my merchant done - oh my sore wrists. On the twelfth day they allowed respeccing to and from non-combat professions /sob.
So anyway, I'm still pleased I did it the 'proper' way and am just starting to get my head around crafting clothes - trying to make one of everything in each of the primary colours + black and white and get them on my vendors to start with...
Hopefully this shows that all these new tailors are not just fly-by-night respeccers, and some of us are genuinely excited about joining the ranks of the SWG Haute Couture Style Gurus that you are.
