Thread: Today's Patch: Tailor made component for wookiee armor

This might be to our advantage. Consider this, and I have ZERO information, I'm just thinking out loud...
Maybe this could give us leverage to get experimentation back (should the majority of tailors want it, I don't because I'm lazy like that)...and real decay.
Maybe we could ask for wookiee clothing that also uses the new component
Personally - on regular clothing - lack of experimentation was a godsend. If they put it back - the % that most tailors that want it back think will give them an advantage, to the customer will be totally insignificant compared to - is it bio modded, does it have sockets - and what color is it.
Decay is in - it just needs to work - and it's doing fine without experimentation.
What the heck is this?????????
- Fiberplast panels - goes into armour with no experimentation
- Synthetic Cloth - goes into armour with no experimentation
- Reinforced fiberplast Panels - goes into armour with no experimentation
- Wookie Pillow Padding - goes into armour with a heck of a lot of headaches for us tailors!!!!

No, I do not supply 6000 synth cloth for grinders to master armoursmith! No, I do not want to hand out free schematics so you can make 200k per suit of composite. No, I don't want to supply trim to chefs, synth to doctors, and I especially do not want to have to learn how to experiment and get good components so those armoursmiths can make a fortune on wookie armour now!!!
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO
and some of us don't mind supplying components and make a very good living doing so, are we to be denied another option in that trade because some tailors don't want to make components? and if so why? it's quite simple don't make them, it would be nice to have the option instead of being dictated to by those that think as a tailor they are above making parts.
My 2 cents (and I'm not voting mind you, which is why this isn't in the poll thread...)
I think the main issues in this transaction are:
- we don't use it in our own stuff (only master artisans make stuff they can't use, elite professions shouldn't)
- experimentation (and armor experimentation at that)
- materials have stats
- the materials are hides
Changing any one of these variables, I think, would probably change some votes.

Basically it boils down to the fact that it is NOT a tailor item.

yes, i'd at least like the option.
edit: i'm also an armorsmith so it actualy makes little difference to me which tree it ends up in, I am one for arguing a point though ![]()

This is a fantastic addition and another great marketing tool for bio enhancing tailors.
Research and find a couple of good, reliable, positive armorsmiths. Maybe you know them already. Sell only to them. Use those SEAs that you've been collecting in case experimenting might some day work. Do not stress yourself out trying to meet demand - concentrate on being a distributor to only a few. Get yourself into an agreement with some honest smiths. They will be more than happy to take care of you $$ wise, we're getting to experiment and use our tapes, the profits will be nice because of high demand and the overall wealth of the buyer - the armorsmiths.
That's if the experimenting works
As always, great update Jess
