Thread: +25 mod cap?
I added two rfps with +17 ranged defense eachto a pair of pants and the bonus was +34 so no cap I would say.

The UI has never shown a cap. Why would they fix that now?
According to the Dev's Response to our Three Questions, the cap remains at +25.

because at release, there was no cap on modifiers. they imposed one after the ui was already written.now since they've rewritten parts of the ui for cuand could have implementedconsiderationfor the modifier cap, but oddly enough did not, suggests that the modifier cap was removed and in itself being the reason why there is not a cap shown now.
i also read a dev/correspondant/csr/something-or-other-but-still-an-official say there is no cap but the but the effect gain per skill point is now logarithmic, meaning that with each additional skill point point gain either through skill box or modifier, the gain achieved is lessened each time. so its not capped, but it reaches a point its no longer worth investing. i wish i could give the exact thread, but can't quite find it. i'm pretty sure this was in the tka forum and the thread was about the new BE clothing modifiers, but mainly about stacking defense modded clothing.

Guess I'll add the <sarcasm> tags next time.

So...regarding the cap-I recalled incorrectly that I put two RFPs in one item of clothing. I put a +17 ranged defense (each)in a shirt and in a pair of pants for the customer. I asked him to see if there was a change to his stats and if so how much. He checked looking at his skill modifiers under control C and he had +34 total added to range defense using both items of clothing. It may be some bug or not intended to work that way, but he did get the extra mods. I am hoping they leave the nice mod stacking in. Since so much has been taken away, it would be nice to find ways to make characters just a bit more successful in fights.
The mods have always shown in the window that way since they have been ingame, even when it was stated the +25 is the cap.
its kinda like the people who have a +40 exper suit seeing the 140+ mod and still only getting the 2 extra exper bars to use...
what the mods shows and what is actually applied are two different things.
