Thread: Introduce Clothing Coloration Kits
The short answer is that by doing this we simply become mobile clothing machines.

It's supposed to be a hard cap. Some people have reported that maskscent andmedical skill do show a benefit if maxed out fully. I don't know for sure, but I'm perfectly willing to keep selling +100 suits and offer a money back guarantee to every customer. So far.... no returns
It's been confirmed at least twice that the cap is +25. A doctor even tested it out by keeping track of several hundred heals wearing different amounts of BE clothing. Unless your customers are doing scientfic studies with your +100 outfits, they'll assume they work. Frankly I think you are doing a great disservice to you customers, and misleading them to boot.
I tell everyone who asks that the cap is +25. I actually stopped making +25 striped slacks to put on my vendor because I saw people buying 4 items at once and I knew they were wasting their money. Now I made everything +15 and the only +25 I make is the smock which can't be worn with other items anyhow.

hmmm. My +100 medical suits go for 350k Maybe it's a whole suit of clothes...
That's a heckuvalot of money - and they get the same exact benefit as my 13,500cr +25 smock.
I'm agains the idea of "clothing customization kits"or the ability to recolorize for a number of reasons:
- Many of the same reasons already quoted. Tailors and Image Designershave no real purpose but to producevisual variety - we can't experiment to make items "better" andwe're all hitting the upper limit in terms of BE enhancements. It'd be like asking for a "plastic surgery kit" so you can reconfigure your facial appearance, hair style, etc. yourself.
- Tailor is already far too easy to hologrind, so the "Master Tailor restriction" is pointless. Can't color your favorite outfit? Take a week off, grind to Master Tailor, color your really valuable clothes, then drop the profession. Feh.
- Some tailors use specific color schemes for specific items - if the maker's name still remains attached to an itemrecolored by someone else, confusion may occur.
I would love to see color kits in the game! It's hard for tailors to supply all the color optionsand still make money in the process. All theother crafting classes has kits to which to modify/fix there products in one way or another.
But, like the other coloration kits, it should fade with time, like it would will last 2-3 days for clothing.
And also it would decay the item with each use of the kit. That way we would still have to buy new clothing and keep tailors in business.
Once the condition reaches 0, the item would turn a dull color like gray or brown or maybe even not be able to equip it.
