I got Knights of the Old Republic II at the weekend and I've been overdosing on it since (Finished it as light side, working on dark side now) and some of the headgear and clothing in there is great. Visors in various styles, sideand front. It's a great looking game (Female toons have hips and run like women!) and the combat is gorgeous.

ive been playing kotor2 also 
never really noticed how lacking SWG was in star wars atmosphere till i played kotor2. Id say its the most immersive starwars feel ever captured in a game 
Id love for SoE to incorporate a few idea's

have to agree with a no on the cowboy hat buta big yes on a low crown wide brimmed hat.
what about Adi Galla's headdress <Ep1-3> (the one with the tendrils coming off the headband), the Hoth Rebel Troopers hats...these are cannon but we don't have them yet.

and and I want to have SIMS2 hats...
There is no COW in SW universe, therefore no cowboys, therefore no cowboy hats. I don't think anyone needs them either. Do we need more headwear? Ofcourse but NO COWBOY HATS!

If we had more headwear that was for people other than Twi'leks that actually looked good, we wouldn't have to turn to something as odd as a cowboy hat.
On an odd note, though, my first reaction when my old musician alt got Western was "I need a hat! And boots!!!"

I like clothing -- thats all heh -- especially hats (thats why my first toon was a Twi...
But I started over made a female BH/Carbiner and ahve a vision of her in my head .. this entails a cowboy hat type job , but that is the only part of her uniform that is "western"
since these are not in the game anyone hqve sugestions on a more western type of hat fora female huiman?

I'd love to see the introduction of ANY head/face wear. anything from Cowboy Hats and Indiana Jones style Fedoras to visible rebreathers, wearable computers, visors, eye glasses. just anything that can be worn on the head/face.
also, i want to wear an imperial uniform like the one that Prefect Talmod wears in the Bestine Capital Building. That is such an awesome uniform, and if you've never seen it before, head to the Bestine Capital Building, and look for Prefect Talmod on the center raised stage area in the main room.

Head Wrap..oh and dont forget it comes in a large version too. Ya, ok we can...fly the speed of light, occupy and travel to thousands of planets, create weapons that shoot coherant light... but, we...cant...think...of...more...sophisticated...headgear than a turbin.
Warm Hat? Call a spade a spade thats a bloody Fez.. only think missing is the tassle.
So I dont think a cowboy hat would be any more damaging to immersion than anything else listed here. Besides, as pointed out earlier of the thousands of planets in the republic it shouldnt be too hard to find cowboy hats. Heck, we got only one planet and the cowboy hat has been around in one shape or another for several thousand years.

GOOD point. i really dont uinderstand why people are so against a cowboy looking hat. we do need more content, visors and all the futuristic stuff would be nice, but how could a cowboy looking hat be immersion breaking while a sunguard is not? why have a low crown widebrim hat and not also have somthing that looks more like a cowboy hat? i still think we should be able to have all sorts of "real world" hats. it will not break immersion. most people will still wear their helmets all the time. others just wont wear cowboy hats. kind of like the way some people just wont wear decorative head dresses.
