Thread: What other profession do you have besides Tailor?
I'm going Master Tailor, some merchant, and some Teras Kasi artist. I'm not sure the exact skill yet.. I still need 50k unarmed xp before I can get novice TKA.... so it's not a high priority at the moment.
I don't have master tailor yet, but when I do my skills should look something like...
master tailor
master architect
novice heavy swordsman
scout 4/0/4/0
I've done the math several times, and I'm pretty sure it works out.
melee professions are much better for fighting NPC's and creaturesthan the ranged professions...because they won't kite you like PC's do. And creatures tend to end up standing next to you anyway.
I have a bunch of stuff, still trying to settle down on "that perfect" game toon.
Right nowI haveMaster Artisan, Droid Engineer (2/0/1/4), Tailor (0/0/0/0), Merchant (0/3/1/0), medic (2/2/1/3), marksman (0/4/0/3), scout (2/0/2/0).
Considering I'm almost out of points i think i'm going to have to drop something. scout first (I only used to get MA) andmedic (hopefully not all).
Master Tailor
Artisan: Eng IV, DA IV, Bus II
Architect: Installations I, Buildings I
Marksman: Carbine IV, Ranged Support III
Medic: Organic Chemistry IV
Scout: Hunting IV
Bioengineering: Tissues II, Engineering II
Probably going to sell back Architect and the Artisan Engineering line to get the points to finish the BE lines and take Business back up again, possibly into Novice Merchant. Or I might grab Novice Carbineer, not sure.
In the words of Robert Heinlein, specialization is for insects ![]()
Tailor: Casual IV, Field IV, Tailoring III (no Formal yet)
Merchant: Advertising IV, Efficiency IV, Hiring II
Artisan: Eng IV, DA IV, Bus IV, Surv IV (just dropped Master Artisan)
Scout: Exp II, Trapping II, Hunting II, Tentmaking I
Medic: First Aid II, (The Medical Use one) I
Marksman: Pistol IV, Ranged Support III
I'm pretty near maxed out now, not entirely sure what stuff I'll be getting rid of - probably the Engineering, Medical Use and maybe bits of Scouting will go to make room for Master Tailor and I'd like to work my way into Pistoleer with a bit of advancement into it eventually.
Right now, master tailor, novice merchant, master artisan, some entertainer, some pistol, and probably something else I'm forgetting.
I have a second account with a future master bio-engineer, so I'm thinking of getting Master CH with my tailor. Have to see how it all pans out.
I definitely want to do WAY more than 250 skillpoints per char allows for. :-)
"" Ri'a Ocoli"" Master Tailor, Kettemoor
"" Fine Attire by Ri'a is 1km north of Keren at 1190, 3770
"" .. my door is always open, stop by any time!
I dumped all of my merchant skills. Now headed for endproduct like this:
Master Tailor
Master Image Designer
Keep Explore
Maybe dumping all of my pistoleer and marksmen skills and going with bio-engineer instead of combat skills, not sure
Tailor 0/4/0/0
Merchant 0/3/0/0
Marksman 4/0/0/3
Master Artisan
Scout 3/0/4/3
Medic 1/0/0/0
Entertainer 0/0/1/3
I'm working on Master Tailor ATM (with Efficiency IV also being a goal). I'm almost out of Skill Points at the moment though, first to go will be the medic and the explore/survival branches of the scout tree. I'm also hoping to be able to squeeze novice rifleman in (nothing is worse to me than not being able to get to my harvesters because of packs of aggros).
I'm getting maxxed on skill points so some things have to go soon. Even more things will have to go eventually, since I've been picked to be the Politician of the town we're working on, but those skill point cuts are going to be painful so I'm putting off thinking about them!
Tailor - 3/3/3/3
Master Artisan
Marksman - 0/4/0/3
Entertainer - 1/0/3/2
Scout - 3/0/1/0
Merchant - 0/2/1/0
I'm keeping Marksman no matter what. I took scout to be able to harvest, but now I have a really good hide supplier so I'm only hanging on to it for terrain negotiation. As soon as vehicles or mounts are added though I won't really need it so it's gone. Master Artisan is nearly useless to me so that's going away soon, probably as well as my Eng line since I barely use it. I hate to lose Merchant but probably will eventually, I may keep novice level in that but I just don't see enough in the Merchant skills to make it worth keeping skill points in it.
My eventual plan is Master Tailor, Marksman (Pistol 4), Entertainer (Dance 4), and Politician.
