I've paid up to 100k for apron schematics, but here is the REAL problem:

If it is a chef or medical apron you are all set. I've sold those for as much as 500k. But if it is a tailor or architect apron, you are pretty much hosed. Questionable whether you should even waste the components to make the aprons cause they very likely won't sell at any price.

Yep, that's the problem. I find that architect aprons do sell, if priced cheaply enough (or traded for factories / furniture). Tailor aprons I don't bother making. The other two are great income. You have to factor the 50% chance for a near-worthless schematic into the price you pay for them.

More than 50%... It's likely that the schematics you buy were already tested by a tailor as not being a chef/doc one too.

How do you test a schematic?

Keep an unusued (worthless) tailor apron schematic in your data pad, and try to learn the new one. If it says you cant cause you already know it, then you know what it is. Of course this pre-supposes that you don't have unused chef or medical apron schematics in your data pad (and why would you since leathers are cheap and easy to get).

Oh! I was under the impression that once you had learned one crafters apron chematic you were unable to learn any other type of crafter apron at all. Thank you so much for the information...I shall now "test: my other schematics later tonight.

I've been very fortunate in that I'm kept constantly supplied with leathers and clasps from my combat friends (their idea of relaxing is clearing Nightsister caves), so I'm saving money there. However, the schematics usually go into the six figures on my server's trade forum, and I can't bring myself to bidwith the fear that it's the tailor one. Even with new players coming into the game, the circulation of schematics is stale because it'll take awhile for the newbies to level up enough to do the theme parks.
