Thread: Logged in... bombarded with tells... logged out
A funny incident about titles:
I usually have the Homemaker title up and get a tell,,,
"Can i get a free home?"
I respond ,," No, sorry I am unable to make any housing items at all."
"How come you have a homemaker title then?"
Dead silence because I was laughing so hard,,I couldnt type a response.
This isn't Shaolin, but it's very Eastern-ish:

I know what you mean about all of the questions that people can ask about BE items. It takes awhile to explain, and sometimes it is quite time consuming.
To prevent alot of basic questions, like "What are enhancers" and "What types are there" I typed up an email awhile back ago that explains alot about it. When someone first talks with me and I get the feeling that they don't have a clue to begin with, I tell them that I have an email that explains it all and I send it to them. It's a huge help

I so adore all of you here!! Many of us have learned by sticking it out and sharing our triumphs. Yes, being able to enjoy the game is quite a triumph!
For the BIO questions, I tell everyone that while I stock the best of the best that I can find, I am still a tailor and can not be expected to know all of the intricacies of BioEnhancements. Sure I can tell them what will take what Bio's but I have found that sending them to SWGBIO.COM has them coming back informed, relieved and with a smile to go with their order. I sure hope that helps some of you, it has been a life saver to me.
Remember your time is as valuable as you allow it to be and I value my self pretty highly. Ahh, one other thing, for those of you who are part of a couple that play online. My husband and I both play. We sit side by side and have a ball watching what each other is getting into. When the times arise that we want it to be us against all the badies that SWG has to offer, my /afk that says, "Mine and Hubby's time. Email me if you need me." goes up. Everyone who has ever dared to try and get my attention after that has failed miserably and all of my customers know that trying to interrupt that time will just likely get them banned.
You have to have priorities!!

That is a great idea! Guess who is going to be writing an email tonight to forward to people? Maybe it will reduce some of the "I want the cloths with a bonus" people!
how's wedded life? 
I just try to keep the most common things that people want on the vendor, so I just send them there when they ask. If it's something else and I am busy I just ask them for an email and I make it the next time i get time. That being said the tailor is no longer my main character so I don't have her on most of the time, which helps.
Another advice for BE clothes, make a READ ME item on the vendor with an explanation and ask people to go read it.
Yuck, I logged on for a minute today to write an email and immediately got a message "are you still a tailor?" As a general rule, I don't think I have any obligation to answer tells before I've loaded. Everyone knows it takes a while to load, they can frickin wait. So I ignored it, and about a minute later "are you still a tailor?" Not rude, but annoying nonetheless.
This has been my little experiment lately: how many tells can I not answer before the person decides that e-mail is probably the way to go. So far nobody has figured that one out. They just keep sending tells.

I totally agree with a privacy feature of some kind and put it in the top 5, please. A toggle switch for tells or something. It happened again today when I logged in... I get blasted with tells every time I log in.
This time though, I had the nice email Avaleena sent me so, I simply forwarded the email before they even asked the question that did silence a couple and then they sent an email.
