Thread: Bio-Engineered clothing
Whoa, this one's news to me!
It'd be nice if they'd fix some of this stuff....

I have been to just about every Tailor shop in the known galaxy, and have not seen ONE STORE that has BE clothing with these selections.
The list above (in the first post in this thread) are the only skill mods we are able to put in clothing. If what you're looking for isn't on that list, it doesn't exist as a BE-enhanced bonus.
We have no idea why the devs picked these specific mods for clothing. We'd love to be able to make more, but if you want bonuses to any other type of skill, you'll have to hunt down a clothing or armor attachment with the bonus you want.

excellent guide, thank you very much. but i have a question on this part here:
Another point we need tomention is that you might want to add more than 1 article of clothing to an ensemble. The customer gets his +25 medical shirt, +25 pants, +25 hat, and +25 jacket and walks out feeling like he owns the world. His skill sheet shows a +100 medical bonus. This has been tested and the conclusion is that +25 is the maximum skill bonus you will benefit from. If you have all those items stacked up on each other, they are being wasted. NOTE: Some doctors say that they can go from a 1500+ buff average to a 2800+ buff average with this suit on, so you might just want to try it. I have not heard confirmation on either side that it is working correctly.
are there any comments of the devs to this point anywhere? is there a +25 cap for sets or not? or just for special tissues? i havent found anything official about it, sorry.

Excellent guide, was asking around as to how to add scent neutralisation to clothing but no-one knew. this will help no-end (although I will need to get field wear 2!). I'm still finding it hard to get the xp needed for this profession as I like to explore and don't want to be crafting all the time, also its sooo hard on resources/money (have 2 personal harvesters now though).

Melee defence 4 stun resist 18 [5 20]
Injury treatment 15 wound treatment 15 [16 16]
cover 8 [10]
bleed resist 18 [20]
Anyone have aproximate numbers for the other tissues?
Some customers may be open to buy 'alternate suits' for diferent situations, such as a mask scent one and a melee one and maybe even a 'cover' suit
The most common "combat type" generally wants a shirt/jacket/pants combo with 2xBleed and 1xMelee, or vice versa. My next question is always "Do you have Medic or Entertainer skills" because it's usually easy to fit in 2x synth cloth with the relevant healing tissue in any such outfit.
Oh, and strictly on a fashion note, it's worth remembering that the Heavy Reinforced Jacket is the only one that has a full color range, so it'll usually be a good choice for any customer who's not the usual "everything in black with black trim" type.
Oh, a question for the record: Has anybody ever seen a tissue with +5 Melee Defense? Is a +5 result in the realm of possible outcomes?
Yes, I have seen +5, when Splintt was using a +42 crafting station with his tools, and some amazing resources we stumbled across a +5, only had about 4 of those, so while useful and exciting, not really ideal... give me crates, much more beneficial to my little tailor ![]()
shirt
form fitting undershirt, lined workshirt, reinforced workshirt
trousers
Pocket shorts; reinforced pants; Paramilitary camos; Infiltrator legs
jacket
Desert commando, heavy reinforced, spec ops duster
Bandolier (you and I may panic at the thought of loosing our back pack but if all you *have* to carry is a few spare weapons and a crate of stims...)
Did I miss any types with RFP? The flight suits may fit into this but they don't make a lot of diference to the effect as they have only one FRP slot.
This gives two lots of cloth for the cap on healing skill and 4 lots of reinforced for either 16 melee resist and 25 stun resist or 12 melee resist, 25 stun resist and 18 (19?) bleed resist. Thats a pretty chunky improvement in defence. Or you'd get mask scent and cover bonus to about +25 and healing to 25 for the same items.
