I sell about 4x as many Trim as I do anything else .... I only sell things in 20 crate backpacks, when I tried singles, they simply didn't sell. I don't sell all components though, just Trim, Synth Cloth, FP & RFP ....

So I sell about 1/4th of what i Sell in Trim in Synthetic Cloth, about 1/6 the amount in RFP and about 1/11th in FP panels.... I'd probably never hear a word from anyone if all I sold was synth cloth and Trim but its easy, so why not

I tried selling metal fasteners and jewelry settings but it just didn't work ....

What do you charge for your crates and how did you reach that price?

3k/crate for synthetic cloth crates is the "old standard". Probably for two reasons. The first is that it is the old cap for the bazar, so everyone used to just charge the max amount for them and it kind of became a standard. Second, it represents exactly 2x the value of materials.

The calculation is: 20 units (fiberplast, petro) x 3cr/u x 25u/crate = 1.5k

which is the value of a crate of synthetic cloth, with no "profit" built in, over what you could get for the materials that go into it.

I might buy a crate or 2 if I was in desperate need and for some reason didn't have any of my own. But I mass produce them, so that rarely happens. However You could do this AND make some cash. Not only would tailors prob buy them on occasion, but Armorsmiths would buy them.

Most used would be Syn cloth for both tailor and armorsmith. I typically go through about5-7 crates of Syn cloth in a crafting session, so it goes pretty fast.Reinforced fiber panels also are used for both professions. Armor padding for armorsmiths to make wook armor. And of course low lvl tailors who don't have the reasources or finances to mass produce their own crates of components, might be interested if the price was decent for them.

Thanks! Some very sound logic there.

That's usually the logic I use for any crated resources I sell. Works perfectly.
