No, he has to kill Woolimander Harrowers, Peko Peko Albatrosses, Reclusive Gurk Kings, and Giant Dune Kimogilas…I'm not saying he's any less of a troll, just saying all of these non-standard schematics require killing annoying things. On the other hand, as far as I know of RIS schematics aren't limited-use, nor are lightsaber schematics (although I'd like to point out that you do not need Krayt pearls for lightsabers—crystals looted from Meatlumps will do, just won't make as good of a saber). So there's a pretty big difference right there.
The guy is a troll and should go away, but I do have some sympathy for the armorsmiths here. Apparently the stuff needed to make RIS armor is so rare that most servers can only produce 4 or 5 full sets per year. At least this is what I heard. The difference is that most armorsmiths can afford to buy nice materials. Many of us tailors have to rely on the kindness of others for rare stuff. I know that if I want something and one of the better armorsmiths on the server want the same thing that there is absolutely no way I can compete. My entire savings is just pocket change.

Sigh... my very first attempt was on an Exquisite Leotard and I also failed.

The worst part about it was having to tell a friend that her crystalline treatment and 1/3 of her schematic uses went down the drain.

The only way I broke a million was by selling a krayt pearl I got as a tip when I was a dancer.
Otherwise the only way I made lots of money was by selling complete runs of synth cloth to armorsmiths. *laugh*
Then a friend gave me a million as a Lifeday prezzie.
I still have over half.
If I didn't love being a tailor, I would have moved on long ago.

You think crit fail is bad? I lost ALL my uses for a Spec-Ops Field Agent Pack just by openeing the crafting station to see what materials I needed and the exited. Didn't even attempt to make it and it counted it as a use! Ugh!

I don't know if it is in, but there is going to be a thing, where if a Jedi is crafting a lightsaber and crit fails they only loose the basic resources, not the crystals and such.
It should be the same way for tailors on certain things.
Bio Tissues are hard to come by right now for me and when I get them and make a Syn Cloth or RFP and it fails I'm ready to scream.
And I'll tell you another thing, I've come across more Jedi saber crystals then I have Heavy Duty leather pieces
