Most Amusing:

The fattest bothan iv ever seen requesting the most flaming outfit I could think of.One pink vest, boots, hotpants, decorative hat and long uniform gloves later he gives me a huge tip and walks away happy while im laughing hysterically.

Most Outlandish:

Iv made a few fleshcolored tactical skinsuits on request. If matched exactly to skintone it indeed makes a toon look quite nakid from a short distance.

Most Futile:

A friend of a regular customer came into my shop. He asked for a full set of camo/mask scent gear. I told him the benefit only matters up to +25 so a full suit would be a waste. He then precedes to argue with me. I told him why would I say this if I wasnt sure it was truebecuase if I said nothing its more money for me(i had emailed a dev friend of mine to make sure) . He continued to argue up a storm until I relented and gave him his clothes (extra money for me afterall). Thank goodess said friend recently put up this fact in the friday feature. iv since had a lot less futile arguments sinceregarding the mod cap forbioclothing.

Most Aggrivating:

I was running through coronet starport on my way to the shuttle. A guy asks me to make him a +25 injury/wound sunvisornamed "so and so's signature sunguard". I made the hat and put my tag at the end which I do with all my bioclothing. He preceded to tell me to make another one because putting my tag defeats the purpose of it being HIS signature sunguard. Itold him to look for another tailor and thenput it up for sale on my vendor discounted.

I'll make special names on request from time to time but this just annoyed me.

Most Frustrating:

Anyone else annoyed when you see a piece of gear with your name on it being sold in a vendor next door for double the price?

Today someone asked me to make him free stuff (he didn't even know I was a tailor, I merely said I was an artisan when he inquired why I wasn't healing him.) Specifically said - free stuff (didn't care what). And he spoke to me in the most atrocious leet. Then he started harassing me about making him a hat, and I just stopped talking to him. He tipped me 5 credits, and I tipped it back with a "please leave me alone." He tipped me 6 credits, at which point I got to use my favorite line of all time:

"Welcome to my ignore list. Population: you."

ahh memories

I remember giving dancers free shorts in puke pink.

When I first mastered tailor I did alot of custom work but in all honestly, consults take so long, and I've been doing this for such a long time I only do them for friends now, or customers who know what they want.

The "make me look cool" finally got to me. "Well what colors do you like?" "I don't know.."

One of these days, when holo grinding is over I'll probably hit the coronet cantina again just for old times sake and make some clothes. I did enjoy it, but with 3 characters on chilastra and a business to run I just dont have the time anymore. When you think about how long a consult takes with someone who is not sure what they want.....you are talking 15-30 min at least!

I NEVER wear the Master Tailor tag as it just makes a trip anywhere a /tell nightmare.

A friend/customer of mine who had gotten clothes from me since I started tailor in the beginning (we had a specifc outfit, black with blue trim), and he had gotten the outfit in the closest shade of blue I could make when I could make it. Well he was gone for a while so he never got the outfit with the master level blue (which I love that color). He came around again recently and wanted a new outfit, but with medic +'s, so I said sure, you'll love the blue I can make now. He said "no, thats so2003. I want it all black." I proceeded to /smack him first and then /sigh and make him the clothes, explaining that black was "so beginner." After buying the outfit he later asked me to make the black and blue with the same enhancements because I made him feel guilty. Well, serves him right, since it had been a trademark transaction betwixt us...and guess what? He absolutely loved it.

I also had my first non friend first time customer actually politely /tell "Hi, are you possibley available to make me a Twi'lek Noble's Crest? Your vendor does not have any."

Wow, someone who had not only looked on my vendor first before even approaching me...but asking politely if I was available? I was shocked and more than willing to make the headgear. But then reality sets in.

Me: "wait...which vendor? I have six all over the galaxy."

Customer: "the one on Tatooine near Espa. Its empty"

Now...wait a minute...I don't have any empty vendors and NONE near Espa.

Me: "whats the name of the vendor?"

Customer: "blah blah blah"

Me: "OH! Thats So-and-so's vendor, not mine. She is a friend."

So, blah blah blah, things are cleared up, I'm on Naboo, and have to go to Corellia for the stupid plexite....customer doesn't mind and is willing to pay for travel and doesn't mind waiting, and even asks if I am on my way only to know if he should wait there or would I mind if he went to another city while he waited. No problems by me.

In the beginning I was a master Musician before I mastered Tailor, though I started both roads at the same time. I wanted all sales I could get at the time, so I would have my tailor tag up while playing music and would stop for someone who wanted clothes. Now, sure, I was wearing entertainer clothes, not quite the revealing that dancers usually opt for, but musicians would go for, and had an instrument in my hand. While crafting for a customer, a viewer would often say "Koli, dance for me." Now this quite annoyed me because I felt that I was obviously a musician. My reply always was"Do I look like a (blank) dancer to you? Do you think that just because I am a woman that I MUST be a dancer? No! I'm a (blank) musician!" Koli is not known for being polite, and yet I've maintained some small bit of popularity. Go figure.

I've also been pestered by Imperials becauseI play as much in RP as I can, and Koli is a diehard rebel and refuses to do business with imperials (not an absolute, but a general rule, and nothing against decent imperial customers....but it goes against her character and "charm"). Every Imp that raids AH gets put on the shops /ban list. (I'm not so mean at other shops). My partner and I figure no well priced clothing to murdering imps (this stemmed from being murdered in cold blood after a TEF trade while playing music in the Tavern). Its all about the RP! lol

hehe, of course you can use it, but this macro is designed for someone that is targetted. If it's by a /tell then it won't work...

Confession of a bad bad bad person.... Maybe I shouldn't be telling you this.

Well I have a special order vendor. The first pack is entitled DO NOT BUY OTHER PEOPLE'S SPECIAL ORDERS!!! and explains that if you do 1) it's not what you want 2) it's not discounted and 3) you will be banned.

I've loaded my decoy packs up with a bunch of fake items and priced them from 10k - 50k, figuring that orders can be somewhere in that range. They said things like "Kyan's special order -11 items" and such. Actually I was going to name them Kyan, Carson, etc, but I figured that someone might catch on that the fab 5 were fakes.

Haven't even looked at em in a while. There are no legit special orders left on the vendor at this point, so I wasn't paying attention to e-mails. In fact I was so busy on TC, that I hadn't logged on my merchant character because I hadn't had time to restock. Well my vendors' expiration date rolled around, and I went to restock...

And I noticed that 2 of my 4 decoy packs were missing. Well that was weird - since I hadn't gotten any irate e-mails on either character about it...

So I looked at the date and they had been bought 2 weeks ago... by the same guy! One for 50k and one for 13k. So he buys the 50k pack, finds nothing and tries again? Geesh.

I was debating sending the money back, but I opted for banning him from my store.

Why would you even consider refunding them? LOL

I had a great little experience over the weekend. I was in the Moenia cantina doing some odd jobs for Borvo the Hutt. So I'm in the back chatting with him and I can hear from the main area: Britney Spears says, "Can anyone give me a few credits? I'm new." Of course my 1st thought is it's some d00d trying to be funny, fully expecting "Britney" to have a chest/waist that would in RL require a back brace.
So I finish my chat and go into the cantina and there's Britney w/ 2 other female newbie friends entertaining the heck out of an empty cantina.
Since I always have my MT tag on, they start chatting with me. "Boy it sucks starting on a new server." blah-blah "we need credits." "Where is everyone?" So I offer to make them something better than the noob clothes. I got their preferred colors and proceeded to make some very nice, colorful outifts using nothing above Novice Tailor.
They were very happy with the new clothes and it was a great exercise for me putting together "low-end" outfits.
