Okie, tailors (and dancers and musicians) here's your mission.
We want more schematics. Check. We want our male entertainers to look hawt. Check. So let's think of some ideas (screenies are never bad) to clothe them (and the clothing will probably be fun to wear for everyone). I'll add those male entertainer items to the list of our requests and we'll see how it goes.
Edit: why just dancers when we can clothe musicians too? Duh /smackself.

I came here from a pointer on the Dancer forum, so let's see what I can come up with. I'd really like to see some good new male dancer clothing, but I'm not sure about my creative ability to come up with something new. Anyway, here goes.
Casual/Formal Attire:
Exotic Attire:
Feel free to have at me, especially for the exotic list, but I actually don't think that they would be too bad. I could be very wrong, of course. I'll try to think of more stuff later, but these were the first things I could think of.
Casual/Formal Attire:
- Dress blouse
- Flared cuff shirt
- A good looking open front vest
- More than one kind of dress shoe
Exotic Attire:
- Exotic leotard leggings
- Fleshwrap leggings
- Some kind of translucent vest
- Some kind of translucent shirt
- Bikini leggings that have something better than that 'thing' on the front.
Feel free to have at me, especially for the exotic list, but I actually don't think that they would be too bad. I could be very wrong, of course. I'll try to think of more stuff later, but these were the first things I could think of.

Definitely more vest types.
More Footwear... We got sneakers, sandals, and clod-hopping boots.
More Piraty looking gear (Arrrr!)
Hats (though I know this is hard).

Revealing
Mesh Tops (metal or fishnet, whatever)
Lot's of arm decorations like armbands, cuffs, and sleeves for a nice bare chested look
Metal leg deco, mesh and bands - same look as flesh wrap leggings but more industrial looking than ribbon
Gladiator calf wrapped or bandedsandals!
Formal
As close to top hat and tails as you can get and still be Star Warsy
Cross Dressing (why not?)
Some fun corsets and skirts for males who want a Goth or J Rock look (surely this could be made to be Lucas Arts friendly... we have mohawks!)
I think it would be fun if all female clothing was made male usable... Drag Cabaret anyone?
Female Cross Dressing
I want more male looking clothes... but I want to wear them too! The Dress Blouse makes me insane because I want that little tie! *sigh*
... and everything everybody else said.
(I really think female slave Dancer clothes were kept in mind for what we have now... I'd like to see more male slave clothes, someone had to have been keeping male Dancer slaves!)

Having been a middle eastern dancer for the last 14 years, I've seen a very wide variety of male dancing outfits (both fitting and not fitting for male wear). I would definately love to see male dancers in familar garb, from a warrior type look to a tribal look. Caftans, robes, billowy pantaloons and vests, kirtles (short male skirt), the pirate look, both with and without a shirt under a vest. For some inspiration, do a search on male belly dancing costumes. It's at least one place to start. But with it, you'd definitely have to have the traditional belts, armbands (upper and lower), more masculine necklaces. Of course, I'd love to have these for the female dancers too.

I would love to be able to have a traditional belly dancer outfit. Although at this point I would settle for being able to have the ENTIRE outfit Leia wears in RotJ when she's enslaved by Jabba. That slave outfit is seriously hot.
The first person who says I'm obsessed with loincloths gets pistol whipped.
In all seriousness though, males DO need a larger selection of stuff they can wear. I'm personally in favor of clothing not having a gender. If men wanna wear dresses... why not? *shrug*
Of course, I'm not sure that is really what we're going for here. LOL

Male dancers? wow, aside from holo-grinders, I can recall meeting exactly 2 male dancers in the game. I think they are about as common as female wookies, lol. But on the other hand I've met lots of male musicians, I think this would be a lot more important market (assuming they recover from the "afk cantina syndrome". But of course if we really want to brainstorm for new schematic ideas for them, why not just ask them?

OoooooOoooo! Not a good idea for me to be reading this while Roho is away . . . *starts fantasizing about Roho in an array of enticing fashions* . . .
Actually, Roho is a very smart dresser and has quite a flair for using the limited SWG choices to his best advantage. He has several tactical suits which he pairs with matching decorative vests for a very . . . ahem . . . yummy effect. Edited to explain to the fewwho don't know him
that Roho is a musician.
I'd like to see the Han Solo look myself: loose, open vest andlow button shirt - with a hip belt (including thigh strap) that didn't look like it was 2 feet thick. And I realize that the side button shirt is suppose to look like the one Luke wears in ROTJ, but let's face it - it just doesn't look the same ingame as it did on him! /fans self
How about:
Mesh tank tops
Bikers shorts
Grecian stylesandals (flat heels, please!)
CAPES! After all, we have a slot in the bazaar for them!!!
Thigh boots (okay, pirate wear again - but this should be cross gender)
Short low cut tops pairedwith tights
Er . . . I suddenly have a vision of a group of guys wearing green singing "We are Men, Men in Tights" . . . *smacks self in head - "Out! Get out!" Ah . . . visualizes Roho in hotpants again. "Whew - that was close!"*
BTW, its discussions like this that make me miss Javier all the more . . .

They are much more common then you think. We have two regulars who dance at Bishops Sanctuary. One of whom posted above, Dranon. Lets face it the Devs just did not envison male dancers. . . and the Devsare WRONG! This thread does bring back memories of Javier, a great Master Dancer (also one of the few people who really understood Lei) and who is now one with the force. Male dancers do need some clothes targeted for them. The mesh would look good. I think the puffy sleeves would look awesome on a male dancer as well. Maybe a shirt open to the waist. I like the thigh boots too. (Lei want a pair as well, but thats another thread.)

I like the loincloth idea. I know a certain tailor or three who might agree.
