Please read links from and then post in merchant feedback thread here.
And think of how great it will be that everyone no longer travels to your shop,
that only the lowest sellers get sales
that the impulse buys from browseing a vendor are gone
that player cities that are clinging to exist via their vendors are no longer visited...
Speak up everyone good or bad, I personally am so fully against this...oh yeah all the pride I have in my shop front...to be a listed name on bazaar...

Please! Go add your voice to this focus thread! If you value your playstyle, speak up!
Did you spend hours and hours and countless credits decorating your shop or mall? Did you have fun doing that? Did your customers appreciate it and compliment you on it? Did you have fun crafting all those different items to stock on your vendors? Did you enjoy your personal service with customers in your shop? Did your city benefit from having a variety of shops, nicely decorated and with friendly and knowledgeable merchants and crafters there to help them?
All gone. Think of all that no longer having a reason to exist. Think of merchant being a waste of time and skill points. Think of crafting being just a vending machine.
Think of all those thingsas just wasted time, effort and expense.
Please. Speak up.

I am still shaking my head about reading this.
I cannot belive that this was even proposed.
The abilty to search galixie wide sure great, but not like this.
Anyone can walk up to any vendor or bazaar and browse, buy, and retrieve, right there and then.
Mass market flood of bulk sells at cuthroat prices, highly decorated shops left unseen, player cities no longer visited,
andI do not even want to begin to think about the clutter that will spew onto bazaar while searching...
I just can't post enough against this..I can't

After reading the In Development thread, it seems like most of the response is positive.
Then I go to the Merchant boards, where it is almost uniformly negative. I added my two cents, which was essentially the same as everyone else who values crafting as a lifestyle, not a licence to print credits.
I'm going to quit crafting altogether if this goes through.

Yeah, theline is pretty obvious. Customers-Combat (non-crafters) love it. Crafters-Merchants hate it.
Customer: Whoa! I can buy anything and everything, for dirt cheap, right here at the bazaar! Insta-delivery too! Cool!
Crafter: List on the galaxy search and have to sell at a loss and be lost in the dross of thousands? Or opt-out and never see a customer step into my shop again. Unless they are lost. Or my Mom.
Yeah. I am so depressed I don't even want to play now.
If I could protest this change any harder, I would. I have played a tailor and merchant since the original beta. I have two accounts. This is the first time I ever had my finger on the cancel account button.

I feel that this post I made sums up my feeling perfectly. I think that if this comes out, I'll probably just let my vendors sit, and I'll stop restocking and find something else to do.
I know I'll miss the old times.
Please, I am down on my knees begging you to *not* do this!
I run a mall for my city, and keep 8 fully stocked clothing and furniture vendors in this mall. I have spent who knows how long decorating my mall, dressing my vendors, etc. to make the mall beautiful. With this change, it all becomes pointless. Imight as welljust drop one vendor in the basement of my guild hall/mall, put everything on it, and destroy all of my decorations, as no one will ever actually visit a shop again. I enjoy having people drop by my mall, and have recieved many compliments on the decorations and the well-stocked vendors. With this change, people will be buying from a faceless bazaar, and will never see a hint of personality. Yet another way to avoid human contact and play a solo game.
I fear the effects this will have on sales. Those of us with low prices will sellout every 24 hours, forcing us to constantly make items for restocking. Those of us with high prices (such as myself) will never get business again. People will just buy from the cheapest place. I see that especially with clothing. One tailor stocking hood-up cloaks in black for 100 creds would completely destroy every other tailor's business across the entire server.
As for effects on player cities, most of the traffic we get in our city is because of the mall. We don't have much else to offer besides the things which every other city has. The city is already a ghost town because of the Jedi grind, now what reason does anyone have to come visit?
I worry about the effect this will have on the little crafters. One large crafter, or group of crafters, could concievably create a monopoly on certain products by supplying them at incredibly cheap prices. There's no way that a small-time crafter, just starting out, can ever beat their prices. They will go out of business as soon as they start.
This is a HUGE mistake.
PLEASE DON'T DO THIS!

me too
I hardly play my dancer/ID any more because of buff bots, afk'rs and stat migrations. I created a combat char to survey and support tailor. Now I don't have the heart to play my tailor anymore. All the hours of work going into my tailor shop and recently planning for expansion. Feeling pretty sad right now.

If you have something to say please oh please post it to the merchant thread (which Ani_cul linked above) so we can keep it all in one place for Elyssa to communicate to the devs. She's really on top of stuff so let's help her out as much as we can.

From the In Development Forum post -- Tiggs Says:
- We are going to change the auto-retrieve items when items are purchased from a remote vendor/bazaar. Buyers will have to travel to the vendor/bazaar to pick the item up.
- It will go to Test Center in the next few days.

Yeah saw that too and it doesnt stop my don't do this charge one bit.
Allow full search function remove prices and retreival...I will not stand for my merchant abilties i earned to be tossed aside so easily
Barker droid, infomails (which so many helped me whittle down and correct),
and above all the fact they can still shop from my own vendors,
I don't sell weaponsI do not want them listed for purchase from my vendors.

I will keep posting on merchant thread and will be on TC when it comes to bat,
but I feel this turning into more of a callous then the thorn being removed..

Remember that nothing is set in stone yet, so voice your opinions! Try to be constructive and offer reasonable alternatives. No matter what finally ends up happening, your opinion counts.

This is a terrible idea!
simply TERRIBLE!
There are so many other things they could be doing with this game...and this is what they have come up with
It's terrible for all the crafting profession.......it will be the death ....of the CRAFTER.......
and yes i posted in tiggs thread too......why oh why must they try and fix things that are not broken.....
I mean i can see how it might be nice to FIND exactly what you are looking for standing right at the bank on coronet, but.....some of the fun in the game for me...is shopping around
what the heck will i do now

As a crafter... I don't like the idea. Because it will discourage people from visiting our shops and hunting for the best bargain.
But as a consumer... I like it. I don't think any consumer could be against it. Too often we visit vendors that are empty and have not at all what they promised.
There is really two sides to it.
