Thread: Keren Lianorm Swamp Problem

Well, today starts day 4 of me having 20 items stuck in Lianorm Swamp Bazaar (wherever that moved to).. no fix yet, no response to my CS ticket. Servers were reset this AM, but apparently no patch and no fix.

/sigh

My business has gone from ~10-15K per day down to less than 1K. Apparently a lot of the traffic to my shop came via my blurb that I always use when I post items. I think everyone is just avoiding the Keren bazaar completely now. Who can blame them? Who wants to buy items you can't retrieve? I'm sure the reduced mission payouts aren't helping either (although from what I've read, there are still ways to make easy cash).

I wonder how long it will take to get my business back up to speed? I guess if they don't fix Lianorm Swamp then it will be another 3 days and my stuck listings will just poof (I cancelled all the sales so people wouldn't buy stuff they couldn't retrieve).

I guess I should be glad a resource shift took care of my need to pay maintenance on 3 chemical and 1 mineral harvesters! I'll place new ones when I start selling again.

Anyhow.. just my sad story for today! :-(

-hugs- I feel you. I don't have the swamp issue, but yesterday I lost 4 harvs. A very good qual Aluminum, A very good qual fiberplast, A good qual Polymer, and a cruddy wind. I make sure to have2 of all of those but on different spots however. So I still have half my resources. I wish they'd leave them alone =/

I’ve got some ten items stuck in the swamps. When I still had them up for sale I tried buying one of them. Upon checking the waypoint for retrieval it pointed to the exact same terminal where I had both posten and bought the item, but when trying to retrieve it I got the message telling me I was in the wrong place.

Seeing as I do business mainly through the bazaar (I don’t have a vendor) this is hurting me quite a bit. Luckily I have 15 slots left and am still able to make a small profit.

I also strongly suspect that we’ll just have to wait till it clears itself. After all, that’s the easiest and ‘quickest’ (from a development standpoint) way to fix the problem.

Don’t despair, the swamp will swallow our items soon enough.

24 items here. Being locked out of the bazaar for a week or more and then losing tens of thousands of credits worth of stock.... I get a little irrational contemplating it. It's obvious that the lost item policy has been quietly rescinded (which I think is only common sense, but they could at least announce it), and all but the most critical customer service operations completely suspended.

Waiting until an issue decays away is not a plan calculated to endear you with your customers.

True, but ifI had ten high priority items and only time for three of them then issues that'll just decay away would certainly fall within those seven I'd postpone till I had time.

With 24 items stuck you're hit pretty hard by this. But in all honesty this is far from a high priority issue. Only a small percentage of all players are tailors and only a small percentage of those had items up in Keren at the time of the patch. And only few of those had enough items up/high enough dependancy on the bazaar to make a significant impact.

Just a few more days...

It wasn't just tailors who were affected by the Keren bazaar disaster.. it was *everyone* who had *anything* up at the time. The Keren bazaar has been all but useless since the patch since everyone has to wait for their items to "decay."

In the 5 days since the patch I have sold a3870cr worth of clothing on the bazaar.. and in the 5 days prior my total sales were 25010cr.

My customer services ticket from last Wednesday has not been answered yet. Since I restock the bazaar on a daily basis, I have a least 2 more days before the rest of my items fall off. And, some of those items don't reflect a time remaining at all so I don't know if they will fall off at all.

I'm disappointed this hasn't been addressed AT ALL by the developers.. yes it is only one city, on one planet.. but there were a great number of people affected.

Ah, my apologies then. I didn't know that. I thought it only affected the re-categorized tailor clothes. And since I never have anything other than that up I didn't know any better.

Still most of what i said holds. While it is a big issue, there are other issues that are bigger and really need a dev to fix it (which likely takes a week anyway). This issue fixes itself in a week.

Not that I'm happy about it, not at all. It's still my main point of business.

The Keren issues are closely related to similar problems with irretrievable items on vendors and all bazaars. According to Holocron, it's the number #1 request they're getting from CS. While it's nice that it is a development priority, while we're waiting for a fix the CSR team should be scrambling to get people's items back to them BEFORE they decay (if they decay... I've had one phantom item for three weeks now, with no sign that it's ever going away).

That said, nobody on the team actually reads this forum, so griping about it here accomplishes nothing save letting off some steam.

Every single item listed on the Keren bazaar on the day of the patch became unretrievable from that point on. Everything from furniture to hides to resources. It doesn't matter if you withdrew your own sales, or tried to buy something else. I personally withdrew all my sales so I wouldn't have people buying stuff they couldn't claim.

Many of my items do not list an expiration date. I have no idea if this will clearon it's own or not.

To have the issue totally ignored, especially when it is such a glaringly obvious programming error, is very uncool.

I will keep my customer service ticket open for as long as it takes. Yesterday I updated it with an itemized list of what was stuck, and the total value. I requested a reimbursement for that amount.

And if someone happens to be looking at all the "this planet"Naboo bazaar sales, some items still show up as being available in "Lianorm Swamp." So people who don't know any better can still buy them, travel to Keren, and not be able to retrieve them. After I got my first request for a refund on a 3000k item, I just withdrew all my sales listed there and am hoping they just delete themselves from my available items soon.

FYI, my expired items are not dropping off. They are still in my "Available Items" list, but with no remaining time listed.

So, I guess I will wait until Wednesday or Thursday and hope they drop off then?

From Holocrons response on another thread, it doesn't even seem that they know this problem exists.

Updating this.. no response on my customer service ticket from last Thursday. One item has appeared to have dropped off because I "only" have 17 items stuck in Lianorm Swamp. The expiration time seems to have nothing to do with it. /shrug

I guess I shouldn't complain too much.. my master weaponsmith neighbor has 120,000 in resources stuck in a vendor.

Lianorm Swamp problem not fixed today (8/20).. my items are slowly disappearing and now I "only" have 15 stuck. I will keep my fingers crossed that the rest will drop off tomorrow if the time limit is in fact 1 week. I hope vendors at least were fixed, for those still having that problem.

Still no CS response on my ticket.

Well at least I can run mindless surveying missions to keep my business afloat!
