Thread: Next question: due ... Monday 6/7

Been doing the same thing for months... I want to know when we will get more colors and more schematics.
If anything, I want the socket issue resolved, whether we get experimentation or not...
Hmm, outside the box. How about some of the recently discussed skill tape ideas as I'm sure the Devs will get around to fixing tapes sometime. Might be a good idea to either ask now or try and plan some suggestions for when they look at them.
Skilltape merging - merging low level tapes into more useful larger ones, either into one tape or a tailor only skill allowing us to place more than 1 of each skill enhancement intoan item. eg putting 2 +1 exp tapes into one item.
Skilltape splitting - Allow us totake multi skilltapes and split them, using blank tapes maybe, into their seperate skills.
What I mean by "outside the box" is that the last two times we've asked about specific bugs and timeframes, and I thought it would be productive maybe to ask about a larger issue - such as the GCW, or general questions about new schematics, etc. Even a broad question about old issues...
I guess what I'm saying is we've asked 2 "timeframe for fix" questions, so maybe we should shift gears and ask a question designed more toward gaining "tidbits" of what's to come.

This has been something that I've been curious about. Now I can't speak for everone, but I'm a Tailor/Merchant/Artisan. I have no combat skills which makes getting some of these new schematics unattainable for me. I would really like to see schematics available through maybe complicated crafting quests so crafters have an easier time getting them.
I don't have a problem with specialty resources being loot drops from higher mobs. The way I look at it is the person who wants the special item can go gather the loot dropable resources, bring them to me and I could make them their item for a minimal fee upon success.
Soon...."
I know its only a small bit of the post, but I'd need the movie in front of me to get the whole thing right.

n'Jessi, the problem with outside the box is that we get vauge answers. When reading through answers i notice those that don't narrow the Dev's down to a corner get a "wait for X" style of response. I know most of these things are hush-hush however it is my belief (well more Hope really) that the Dev's are seeking to prove that we arn't the hated crafting class and on par with the hated combat class (Carbineer) ENOUGH about that though ON TO THE QUESTIONS!
- What do the Developers view a tailors role as in the GCW?
- We have been given the ability to create armor segements for wookiee's, are there plans to impliment more uses for these paddings ro additional schematics of such a type given to us?
- On the wings of a Tie Figther there is a black material, is that cloth and is it something that tailors will be able to modify or create for the players to add on at their own use when JTL is released?
- Given the new use of Experimentation use for the Armor Padding (aka Wookiee Pillows) are there plans to impliment more experimentation uses to the profession and if so what is the current disscussion on how this will be used?
- The Image Designers got a new interface for customers which is VERY useful to see before and after changes, many would argue that Tailors are the counterpart to the ID's. Is there a plan on implimenting a new customer UI for us so that the customer may see themselves wearing styles of clothes and/or colors before we actually craft it for them?
- One item that has been on my mind alot is the fact that i'd like to just change one color of an item... just one. Are there thoughts or plans on implimenting a 'dye pack' for the tailors to use on clothing perhaps also allowing us to use an expanded color pallet on items that have the leather pallet currently?
- Matching Colors, this has long been a source of disscussion for our profession and many seek a number system to show which colors are which... perhaps we could do the opposite and have an 'eye dropper' (as in many art programs) that will allow us to select a color on the item and it will automatically highlight that color in our pallet. Is this possible and has this been in disscussion.
I could go on but 'eh i think thats good for now, how about you girls?
not to be sexist but i know i'm one of few male tailors on these boards so 'guys' just doesn't sound right 'heh
