Okay, let's think outside the box this time... no more bugs....

Let's go big picture this week. Maybe something about the jedi system, or the JTL, or something that places tailors in the larger context of the game.

Feel free to brainstorm and come up with broader questions than we normally do.

(Oh yeah, and I'll keep nagging about bug fixes behind the scenes).

I desperately want some sort of tailor involvement in the creation of Jedi robes, no matter how small. I don't feel that tailors should create the robes, per se, but we shouldn't be cut out of the loop entirely.

The devs have mentioned that there will be a number of force sensitivityskills to learn in the new system ("crafting sensitivity"being the only one they've named at the moment), so why not allow tailors to purchase a force sensitivity skill that allows us to craft optional components for Jedi robes?

It's been mentioned that lightsabers won't decay, but the crystals inside will. The sabers themselves will act like containers, and crystals can be swapped in and out. I don't see why the same thing can't be done for robes. Allow tailors to create low to mid-level attachments, and leave the extremely high level ones as loot drops.

We just need something that helps us but doesn't make everyone scream "NERF!" *insert flashback to clothing decay*

Been doing the same thing for months... I want to know when we will get more colors and more schematics.

If anything, I want the socket issue resolved, whether we get experimentation or not...

Hmm, outside the box. How about some of the recently discussed skill tape ideas as I'm sure the Devs will get around to fixing tapes sometime. Might be a good idea to either ask now or try and plan some suggestions for when they look at them.

Skilltape merging - merging low level tapes into more useful larger ones, either into one tape or a tailor only skill allowing us to place more than 1 of each skill enhancement intoan item. eg putting 2 +1 exp tapes into one item.

Skilltape splitting - Allow us totake multi skilltapes and split them, using blank tapes maybe, into their seperate skills.

Skilltape removal - Allowing us to remove tapes from almost decayed items of clothing.

Of course there should be downsides to anything like this but making in general more tapes available and usable should reduce some of the astronomical prices along with bringing us a new service to provide.

Other than the Jedi robes and maybe specialised JtL flightsuits I'm not sure what "different" ideas we could ask right now.

What I mean by "outside the box" is that the last two times we've asked about specific bugs and timeframes, and I thought it would be productive maybe to ask about a larger issue - such as the GCW, or general questions about new schematics, etc. Even a broad question about old issues...

I guess what I'm saying is we've asked 2 "timeframe for fix" questions, so maybe we should shift gears and ask a question designed more toward gaining "tidbits" of what's to come.

Hmm. Outside the box. How about an optionalingredient boxforaBERFP or SC on all clothes? With maybe theability to have more than one BE optional box per item tied to the Tailoring skill tree? That would take care of the severely limited choices for BE clothing we have now.

I agree, we've all become a bit too negative about all the problems with tailoring. Lets try and focus on different things and leave the bugs alone for a bit.

Ok, how about these possible questions?

1) Will this question be brushed off in a similar mannerto ourlast question?

2) JTL sounds really interesting. When it is finished, will you fix the tailor bugs?

3) Will there be a special tailor Jedi? If so, will they be able to make clothes without all the bugs?

4) Will there be specifictailor quests where the mission loot will be bug fixes?

5) When are you fixing the tailoring bugs?

I'm not bitter about it. Nope, not me.

This has been something that I've been curious about. Now I can't speak for everone, but I'm a Tailor/Merchant/Artisan. I have no combat skills which makes getting some of these new schematics unattainable for me. I would really like to see schematics available through maybe complicated crafting quests so crafters have an easier time getting them.

I don't have a problem with specialty resources being loot drops from higher mobs. The way I look at it is the person who wants the special item can go gather the loot dropable resources, bring them to me and I could make them their item for a minimal fee upon success.

I'd like to suggest we ask for a full revelation of the detailed development calendar. I want to know exactly what they're doing and why the best answer we could get on necklaces was "soon."

"When will then be now...
Soon...."

I know its only a small bit of the post, but I'd need the movie in front of me to get the whole thing right.

n'Jessi, the problem with outside the box is that we get vauge answers. When reading through answers i notice those that don't narrow the Dev's down to a corner get a "wait for X" style of response. I know most of these things are hush-hush however it is my belief (well more Hope really) that the Dev's are seeking to prove that we arn't the hated crafting class and on par with the hated combat class (Carbineer) ENOUGH about that though ON TO THE QUESTIONS!

  • What do the Developers view a tailors role as in the GCW?

  • We have been given the ability to create armor segements for wookiee's, are there plans to impliment more uses for these paddings ro additional schematics of such a type given to us?

  • On the wings of a Tie Figther there is a black material, is that cloth and is it something that tailors will be able to modify or create for the players to add on at their own use when JTL is released?

  • Given the new use of Experimentation use for the Armor Padding (aka Wookiee Pillows) are there plans to impliment more experimentation uses to the profession and if so what is the current disscussion on how this will be used?

  • The Image Designers got a new interface for customers which is VERY useful to see before and after changes, many would argue that Tailors are the counterpart to the ID's. Is there a plan on implimenting a new customer UI for us so that the customer may see themselves wearing styles of clothes and/or colors before we actually craft it for them?

  • One item that has been on my mind alot is the fact that i'd like to just change one color of an item... just one. Are there thoughts or plans on implimenting a 'dye pack' for the tailors to use on clothing perhaps also allowing us to use an expanded color pallet on items that have the leather pallet currently?

  • Matching Colors, this has long been a source of disscussion for our profession and many seek a number system to show which colors are which... perhaps we could do the opposite and have an 'eye dropper' (as in many art programs) that will allow us to select a color on the item and it will automatically highlight that color in our pallet. Is this possible and has this been in disscussion.

I could go on but 'eh i think thats good for now, how about you girls? not to be sexist but i know i'm one of few male tailors on these boards so 'guys' just doesn't sound right 'heh
