Hi guys. I've noticed a signifigant hike of critical failures during grinding. Is it just me?

I always use crappy materials for xp grinding, but recently it seems 1 out of 3 or 4 will fail- consistantly fail even when close to a crafting station. I did not have as high a frequency of these failures before with the same cruddy materials. This started happening to me today.

Just want to know if my case is a freak occurance or if the rest of you are having the same problem while grinding.

I figured it was just me!!! It's horrible. I'm master tailor and I critical fail on everything from wrinkled pants to flight suits constantly. if im stocking, no less than 10 times a day when I used to fail maybe twice a week tops.

The same thing with my artisan on another server. She fails 1 out of 5 fiberplast panels (i actually counted how many fails she was getting) That's rediculous for having Domestic Arts 4.

Obviously this is either a bug or an unspoken nerf. This is one I want to see fixed before it gets out of hand.

This is happening to me as well. I'm hoping that it's not just some underhanded nerf. I don't think they would do that. I'm just hoping that it gets fixed soon, I even crit failed simple lvl 1 artisian missions today. I was sad

No, it's not just you. Yesterday I had 2 crits in a row while making a heavy flightsuit *sigh*

And the customer was patiently standing next to me waiting for his order ...

I seem to get a crit failure on Heavy Flight Suits in particular. I was filling a large order of 12 and failed like 3 times in a row. I was beginning to wonder if I was gonna be able to finish the entire thing.

I'm really glad I wasn't selling them on a resource based pricing system.

Yes! I have a lot more criticals too, and the worst is, that they aren't only increased when using low-quality stuff for the xp-grind.....even on good quality stuff that I use for schematics and clothing I put on my vendors.....

Thank God it's not just me! I failed 4 times yesterday just restocking the fleshwraps on my vendor! Was really starting to irritate me.

I had heard that if you use the slash commands to finish your crafting session you would get less critical failures. Not sure on this as I haven't been crafting in about a week.

Have you guys checked the quality of your clothing tools? I have 4 of them up on my toolbar, and I have noticed that one of them TENDS lately to fail a lot more often than the others - to the point where I don't use it for finals on Master items any more, and will avoid it other times, except for components and simple stuff.

My crafting station has a rating of something slightly over 42.. my tools are all at 14.92.. darn close to the highest poss of 15. My fail rate has been close to zero lately.. until the last two days and it's gone through the roof. Why did I waste money on that station? I can't experiment and my fail rate has just doubled. My tools are at rating 4 (not the best, but certainly not the worst), but I doubt this is the cuase since these weird critical failures have been happening since I started grinding again yesterday. I had been using the same tools, and the same icky materials for grinding in the past, and I never had this many critical failures before.

Good to know it's not just me, and from what I've read so far it seems the quality of the material doesn't seem to matter either.

Something is fishy.

I have posted in the SWG discussion forum asking other crafters if they are having the same problem, as well as asking the devs to confirm or deny this as a bug or stealth nerf. You may want to check it out eventually so see if we're the only ones being effected:
