Okay, looks like we're getting more details on the socketing soon, which means that we don't have to waste a question on it next week. Which means we get a new question. Our "backup" for last week was for the colors, but that's by no means set in stone.
So.... propose away!
EDIT: If we go with the color question, here is the current wording:
Currently tailors have different palettes for different items: a "full" palette for most clothing items, and a "limited" palette for shoes, gloves, wookiee gear, dusters, and other miscellaneous items. These palettes are nearly impossible to match, as the "limited palettes" do not contain exact counterparts to full palette colors, and even contain colors that the full palette does not have. We would also like to be able to make brightly colored boots, shoes, dusters, gloves, etc.
In the December top 5, we asked about expanding our "limited" palettes, and the devs responded: "We have a big suprise for you soon." We have not seen any palette changes.
The Tailoring Community wants to know whatthe "bigsurprise" was. Are we going to see A) changes to the palettes (additional colors to the limited palettes, or a standardized palette) AND/OR B) new items (boots, shoes, wookiee gear) that are full-palette items. In addition, ID's have received new colors, and the tailors want to know if there are any plans to add similar colors to the tailor palette to match the new body/hair colors (in particular deep reds, deep blues, true yellow, and neon colors).

I think I want to stay with the colors. I can deal with every problem and wait for the devs to get a clue as long as I can at least craft BOOTS in the full range, and craft light bustiers with TWO colors instead of that white trim. It would go a long way for me personally, keeping me going. (Naturally I support the expanded/full pallete for ALL clothing and the white only option fixed on ALL afflicted clothing, but boots and Bustiers are my greatest desire to see changed). I would also like to know WHY it might be so "hard" to impliment, and definitely a timetable other than "soon". Soon has come and gone. I use "soon" at work to explain when I will get something done that I don't really care about doing and will only do when I am bored. Publish 11? JTL? Publish 22? I wanna know when!! But thats just what I want know.

When will the art team be free to work on our profession? They seem to be the ones we need to bug about getting new clothes.
but honestly i like asking about colors.

lol, I'm not that bad am I? Actually I have nothing to say about it, I'm kind of in the "it makes no difference since he doesn't answer any of them" mindset right now
I actually suggested in the Ranger forum that they ask what Green Marine's favorite flavor of ice cream is, lol.
carry on

They said at the Fan Fest that new schematics won't be for a while so I guess I would go with colors too... Or the ingame clothes we can't make. Hmmm. I think I want those first hehe.

1.) Please homogenize the Color Palettes so we, the 5 different palettes we have got nothing in common except for white and black >.<
2) Assign numbers to our colors please, so I dont spend 20 minutes making *that* exact shade.
3) Dont bother with new art, we have plenty of "old" art that we cant craft. Smooth one devs, if you only knew how many times we have heard "Hey, I got this robe drop, can you make it in another color..."

Yeah, I vote for colors too. Though I do have to admit that, like others, I am starting to lose faith that these question lists are really accomplishing anything. When the answers coming back are mostly some mix of, "We'll look into it", "No", or "Wait till after CR/JTL/Publish X" it really starts to get disheartening. I think after the last set of 19 I saw with the self-buff question, it really seemed to me to show how the devs priorities seemed to be out of line with those of us who actually play the game. I just wish I could get the impression more often from reading TH's answers that if he can't give us a definite positive answer on a question, that he could present a strong reason for denying a specific request or make sure that any request that can't be quickly addressed is included in some kind of future enhancement list with some sort of estimated time frame for resolution and a periodic update on progress - like a monthly list of user issues and their progress that the devs themselves would update on some sort of regular basis. After all, we ask these questions because these are important issues to us and to the playability of the game, so TH should be sure to demonstrate an equal thoughtfulness in his answers and not too quickly dismiss them or put them off to some indefinite future time.

Khristen brings up a good point: Image Desingers have some colors that do not exist in the tailor palates, and the community wants these colors. My Lekku markings are this sweet shade of hot pink, that doesn't exist in our palates, butI could go to any strip mall 5 and dime store and purchase any number of items of clothing in this exact color.
This coupled with the limited palates forany number ofother items is causing the tailor's path to become distraught with upset customers because of things that are completely out of OUR control, and in the control of the devs.
Perhaps If we could show the developers that by allowing us a large standard palate with an easy to use number coding system, we could better suit our customer's needs, as well as compliment Image Designers, and ANY other crafting profession. This would allow a greater solidarity amongst the crafting professions and allow us all to work and play much better together!
So yeah, I'm all for the standardized, large scale color palate and numbering system.

Okay, good point about the ID colors, I stuck that into the question, but if anyone thinks of a better rewording so it doens't sound like 2 questions, let me know! (Brain fried from bar study)

It's good, but maybe you should insist a bit more on the fact that we have three palettes or more, so that they don't start changing one and not the other.
