while you're at it ... what about earrings and entities? I was told by a CSR that the entity slot would be operational "VERY SOON" back in february of last year ... and that earrings were already in the game. UHMMMMMMMM????? What game are they playing?

There are tons and tons of hints of cool things that this game could have if it were finished before being pushed live. But now that it's live there are a million other things for them to worry about then finishing whatthe gamewas supose to be.

Isn't there hints of an Acrobat profession in the .tre files.

Also, sorry for the stupid question but what would an "entity" be?

I'm guessing selling non-deeded pets.

that is exactly what it is for ... to sell pets and droids that have been removed from deed form and are currently in the owners data pad.

That's exactly what happened, now that I look at it... the game was rushed out and they ditched a whole lot of things that would have made the product more fulfilling, now they're knee-deep in manure trying to bring the core game up to speed.

As a result these are things we'll probably never see.

Look at the Combat Upgrade... they say it's something that's never been done in an MMO before, but really... the reason it was never done before is because it never HAD to be done before.

OMG that was so damn funny I just fell out of my chair. Seriously.

Fishermagi:

"...the Sons of Smedley are legion, and need to protect big daddy at all costs, and I enjoy taunting them, since they are bad people who want to impress a bad person by kissing his butt. There are no such critters for LEC on these boards. WE may attack Julio with impugnity, or Nancy McIntyre. That just ain't fair."

Not to thread hijack, but AMEN TO THAT!!!! I can't believe they are bragging about the CU.

Can you imagine the marketing?

NEVER BEFORE HAS THERE BEEN A MMORPG SO BORKED, THEY HAVE TO REBUILD A CORE COMPONENT OF IT WHILE THE GAME IS LIVE!!!

and I know borked...I was there at the original launch of Anarchy Online.

However, back to eyeware and capes...Damnit, I want to be able to get my Lando on too...

SWG's biggest Achilles Heel is that from the very beginning, character advancement has been a factor of time spent rather than risk taken... with the end result that the higher level your character is, the more careful the player is likely to be. People who take risks in SWG don't get very far, by design; no risk is ever worth taking, except for fun. So the most dedicated players are also the most risk-averse. I don't think there's ever going to be any fix for that.

Eyewear was released to those that bought the Special Edition format of the original game. Three different types of glasses at that. I don't think they can be removed from primary or bank inventory any longer, though there was a command to make you reacquire them if you lost them.

Never seen any capes.

AO looked like the Launch of WoW compared to the launch of WW2 online

----------------------SIG---------------
First they came for the Rangers, and I did not speak out. because I was not a Ranger.
Then they came for the Creature Handlers, and I did not speak out. because I was not a Creature Handler
Then they came for the Traders, and I did not speak out. because I was not a Trader.
Then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak out for me.
