Greetings Alichai! This is my first post on this forum, but I'd like to make you aware of something a lot of tailors feel a bit unhappy about. In a word, colors. As it stands, all we can make are muted tones. We have no vibrant colors. I've seen a nice yellow color, but that's about all. During Beta, there were a great number of colors (Around 50 if memory serves) that were removed prior to launch. I know that I, along with many others, are saying "What gives?" I would like for the Dev's to comment on why these colors were removed, and if they will ever be added back in. I have some Entertainer customers who would like to have bright and vibrant colors that could be worn to enhance their dance routines.

Oh, and if I'm wrong..if color depends on type of resource used or something, please let me know

Thank you.

Hi Xel =D

Okay as far as colors go.. this is what happened. There used to be two seperate skillmods called "artisan clothing customization" and "tailor clothing customization". You would gain artisan cust. as you moved through Dom1-4, until you had ALL the available colors by Dom4. Then when you started on the tailor tree, you would start over with blah colors until you worked your way up to Tailor Cust4 and Master Tailor.

Everyone thought this was a bit silly and disheartening, after getting used to having all those neat colors almost immediately, and then going back to the blahs for tailor tree clothes. So they took both skillmods and made them into 1, and divided up all the possible colors from Dom1 through Master Tailor. Somewhere along the way.. the +55 tailoring customization that was in the Master Box went missing.

I'm sure everyone wants those 55 back, and thats one of my priorities for my report this week =D

The question I have is... should all 55go right back into master tailor? Or should they be divided a little more evenly between the skill boxes?

What do you guys think? Is that a perfect reward for mastering tailor? Or do tailors need more colors as they advance up the tree?

I'd say divide up the colors a little more evenly. IMO, it shouldn't be a situation where you're stuck with blah colors until you hit Master Tailor, which suddenly unlocks a bonanza of color choice. I think there should be at least one "bright" color available as a bone thrown to us at each level.

(Incidentally, I think if the brights were a little more available, we'd have more variety in player clothing, and less of the "Just make everything solid black" stuff.)

Yeah thats what I was thinking Sue.. Why does each customization box only give 20 colors... and then BAM master has another 55? It seems rather harsh to me. Also, it makes spending that xp on the customization line rather painful.. especially cust 1, where you get (i think) only a decent purple. Ouch!

I say quest out the colors! Make skill enchancement tapes that add +1 or +2 to color. That way a true "Master" (with all +55 missing colors) can stand out from the lesser tailors.

Masters already get the lion's share of really good schematics. There's no reason they need a monopoly on color as well. Distribute all the missing colors in the Tailoring line. The Masters have enough goodies on their plate.

I agree with Yukon, those who got master in three weeks or less already have enough (too much?)of an advantage. At least let the younger tailors compete by being able to make what they can in better colors as we'd all thought we'd be able to with the Tailoring line.

Spread the colors out please.

Looks like I'll be going with the consensus here, spread out the colors! Give an even better sense of accomplishment with each level of tailoring gained.

I'd say split the colorsup as well, if they want to add things that we can quest for, makeit new schematics. It would be great if in addition to leveling those of us who enjoy a little adventuring could occasionally find a few new styles.

Can't agree more. Spread out those colours.

My suggestion: Put them in Domestic I. Also, I say we should move ALL the schematics into domestic one, and that way no one actually has to work for anything they want. It can just be handed to you when you take novice artisan!

If you think it's bad competing with a few master tailors, think about trying to compete with a few hundred tailors that can all do exactly the same thing you can.

I have to agree with the consensus: spread the colors out a bit more. And for the luvaghod, please make one of the early choices a better version of red than pink or maroon/brown. I'm not talking the bright vibrant red, just something recognizable *as* red.

JRamirez.. okay you don't want to split up the colors a little more evenly. I can understand that. The reason I brought it up is because the Tailoring Customization skills1,2,3,4 - only give 20 new colors a piece, and then master gives 55!

Imho, nobody should ever work their butt off to check off a new skill and then be dissapointed and sad at the results. And spending 32k on Tailoring 1 to get ummm a better purple .... that HURTS.

My suggestion would be adding +5 to each tailoring skill so it goes 25, 25, 25, 25, and master is +35. That would still leave all the really bright colors in master, yet make each level of customization a little more worthwhile, and a little less painful and disheartening.

The last thing I would want to do is take away the prestige and the feeling of accomplishment that comes with master ^_^ But we want tailoring to be fun during every stage.. not just once you reach the top.

(These of course are just my opinions and I will not be representing to the devs that this is what "all the players" decided on, or anything like that)
