I was playing a dancer and this guy came in and he gave us clothes as tips. He made me a wrap skirt! And these really neat casual shoes! Wow!

One night after one too many in a row with Starsider down, Wanderhome came up for the first time and I started a character there. Made her a tailor cause I thought all those great clothes he gave us were cool! And I haven't stopped since.

I became a tailor cuz I love being able to change my clothes everyday or two without having to pay for them. Also I can't wait to make myself a princess leia bikini.

my original plan was musician and chef, but i found tailor and chef to be a bit more flexible, and ican keep more of my scout/marksman skills

my friend really wanted me to be a tailor too, since he originally wanted to be an armorsmith and need synthetic cloth/ reinforced fiber panels... but after i got field wear, he decided to be a weaponsmith instead

I wanted my friends to ask where I got my duds from so I could tell them I made them. I change entire ward robe every couple of days too. I got my black/grey, black/whitetheme, my desert theme.. time for a new theme. I need more colors.

I'm also a graphic designer IRL so is carries over in game. I like being able to customize things to look unique.

And yes, I know everyone and their brolikes the "Neo" black look. I went through that phase as well but only for a day or so.

I just wanted to be able to design the cool clothes and make my own so I could change my outfit whenever I wanted!!! I have to say I'm loving making people look good!!! Also, I like to model the other colors out there so people will hopefully give them a chance instead of always doing the black thing!!! I get alot of satisfaction when someone tells me they love their new look!!

I played with Tailoring a little bit in Beta, so when the game went live, I had to finish it to see the stuff I never got to make.

I have always enjoyed being a suedo-seamstress in my spare time, it seems I'm always buying fabrics and putting things together in real life and finally a mmporpg where I can do what I love most and what I love second (gaming) at the same time! Not to mention I've never favored the combat related portions that most games rely heavily on. In fact, I've managed to only shoot my pistol two times in the history of my character, this to me is an awesome aspect!

I'm a dancer and I thought it would be fun to make my own clothes. Once I got started into the tailoring tree though, I found I had a lot of fun dressing other people too

I became a tailor in Beta because I was gated dead at Novice Armorcrafting and needed synthetic cloth and reinforced fiberplast panels to move on.

Once I started to get into it, I found the visual customization options to be much more interesting than any of the other crafts. How many possible color combinations for a two-color item? Around 50,000? Sign me up! (Of course, most of them are shades of puke and manure, but so is real life).

It also used to be the most overlooked branch of the Artisan tree. While other players were "grinding", I was counting my credits and laughing. That's not as true anymore, but it's still reasonably profitable and much morefun than cranking out DH17s or mouse droids all day.

I originally wanted to be a chef but in the first weeks of SWG I heard the chefs crying that wanted their stuff and I also saw this first hand with my DA food & drinks. They required lots of different materials and couldn't be sold for anything. Then one night around 2 AM I was in the cantina grinding out metal fasteners and fiberpanels...I asked if anyone wanted to get out of their newbie cloths. I was practically raped by /tell(s) and from that moment on I have never made a single food item.

I love when people ask me to make them beautiful!

Really don't know why... I wanted to be an archetect when I started... Then just one day said: I like the new duds that the domestics tree gave me (Was working towards master artisan), so when Chilustra got really full, I moved onto Flurry and madea new character, who has become a tailor...

Oh well, Havn't been soured yet.
