In the end, do what's best for you I tag my items so people shopping the Bazaar can easily find my stuff. It also helps when I'm looking around and see something with my name on it that's ebing resold. I'll usually buy the item and put it back up for the price I sell it at if it's too low or too high.

I personally do not like it when tailors add their names to items. But I don't sell on the bazaar anymore either. It's easy enough to see who created the item without adding the name to them. I personally don't see any benefit to adding your name to the clothing. In fact Ilike to leave the item as is then if it's bio enhanced I will add the enhancementat the end of the item name(int/warcry) for easy shopping. That way to, clients can tell what item of clothing they are buying and get familar with the names of tailored clothing.

You're better off describing the relevant item properties. It makes for easier shopping.

I usually put the color at the end, and a prefix to denote bio enhancements, like (E) Loose dress, Blue w/ blue-pink bodice. The (E) means enhanced for Entertainers (my vendor explains that to customers).

I always put the clothing name, then the color and sockets, and then my makers mark (sv).

Leather Gloves (4)(black) sv <---my setup for naming with leather gloves as sample

I suppose I should stop bothering to include the sockets as they don't matter a lick anyways, but that's the way I started marking looong ago and I guess it's habit now.

Personally I can't stand the people who have their full name, or who put their name in front of the item name. What's the worst tho is the people who don't mark their clothes at all, sorry but if you can't be bothered to include (black) in your clothing name then I can't be bothered to browse your selection trying vainly to find my color choice.

My regular stuff is usually labeled "Wooly Jacket (black) by Kara." I'd never add something in front of the regular name ofa normalitem, that's really annoying if someone's searching for something specific in my vendor or on the bazaar. I still sell on the bazaar occasionally, but I often buy things with my tag ifthey're listed at a reasonable price, and throwthem onmy "sale items" vendor. I once found a used fleshwrap, 1000/1000 condition, that I'd made listed for 3000cr. I bought it and relisted it on my regular vendor...

My exception to this is my BE stuff. I don't put my name in it because it would just get too long. I also don't put the color because my BE items are in a seperate vendor with a much smaller selection, so it really doesn't take that long to browse. And I start the name with the type of bonus, so sorting that vendor alphabetically will put everything into groups of items with the same bonus. So the item name would be something like "Dancing/Music Wound Healing Hotpants."

I only label stuff that I sell on the bazzaar. I use item name, color, and shop name with location. I do this as advertising so that people will know where my shop is if they want items that are over the 3000credit bazzaar limit. I usually end up getting tells like "dOOd I just bought x from the bazzarr can you make me Y" and it is very easy for me to respond yes i have them on my vendor and the WP is listed in the title of your clothing.

Just my 2 credits. It works for me for bazzaar sales but I dont use it on items I sell out of my shop.

I have never personally added my name to any clothing that I have made in thoughts of "Why would anyone want to see my name all over their inventory" (assuming it'd fit). Especially as when the item is examined the creator's name is quite visable. I have noticed that many others do, though. I've been considering this lately and am wondering if any of you can give me any arguments either way on whether or not I should change my ways... =)

I don't label my items at all. I describe the item's color scheme in the item sale description, since color names vary from tailor to tailor anyways and can create confusion. If they need to know who made it, they can simply examine it. My name's right there. I don't put shop coords, because that is subject to change in the future. I advertise (very rarely) in bazaar item sale descriptions for my shop,by registering my vendor on the global map, and by word-of-mouth from my very sweet and loyal customers. My customers can easily match up items I've made by reading the sale descriptions, or by asking for my help. To each their own tho, it's a matter of what works for you. I know that my patronsappreciate that I don't rename the items, and I happily do custom orders for any specially engraved names at their request.

On top of that, there's no way I could rename an item to include "light plum purple leather bodice with darkplum purple lace skirt and hanging cloth choker" for example, while I can easily write all that out in an item's sale description.

Wow, I don't try getting nearly that descriptive. I use the names of whatever colors I pick from the palette, even though they do color different areas a little differently. So an item would just be (blue & black) which is simple. I don't bother writing up fancy descriptions because anyone wanting more detail will have examined the item and can already see an image ofit. I only use the description field for non-obvious gender restrictions (like "male only" on smocks).

I never used to put color names in my items, but customers complained that if they were looking for a black shirt, they didn't want to examine all the shirts in my inventory just to find one. They also say it helps them put together matching outfits more quickly, they know that a (blue & black) shirt will match (blue) pants so those that don't want to think too much about their clothes don't have to.

Using the color names is also helpful to me so I know exactly what to restock much more efficiently. Instead of going through my whole inventory to see what color is missing, I can see from the sale emailthat I need to make a Simple Shirt (blue) andsell it.

The problem also with just doing a "black & blue" is... what part is blue and what part is black? Items show up lighter in the view window on vendors than they really are, and the image isn't very large. And what shade/type of blue is it?I use9 different blues alone on a regular basis. It's not feasible for me to name colors on an item with the color selection I offer.

Wow, I've never had a problem with the vendor window color display or size. The colors in the vendor preview are actually identical to the ones in the crafting screen, at least on my monitor. They often look different while worn, but that will always happen because of the different lighting in various styles homes, and on various planets.

I mostly work off my vendor, and regularly stock about7 different blues. My customers know that they can contact me for other shades, but stocking too many shades is kind of overkill at least to me. I usually have about 6 shades of any given color that I stock, but I don't try and have every item in every single color, just a range of things available.

I actually do name every color that I use regularly, I made a little HTML chart to remind me of the names of each. For example, my blues are ice blue, denim, light blue, dark blue, indigo, sky blue, and just plain blue. The names are simple, just reading them gives an idea of what shade they are. Customers who want matching things fast can just pick items with the same names, but others have fun just playing with the combinations. I also have a few named"styles" that useseveral shades together, my most popular right now is probably my "Wayfar style" line that's all tan and brown. I've beenthinking of making a new "matching outfits" vendor that just stocks those special lines for those that want a lot of mix and match pieces.

This is kind of getting off topic about clothing tags though. But playing with the colors is a big part of my tailoring fun, so I really enjoyed namingso many of them.
