(Complete the phrase as you see fit.)
For me, it's:
... happy and at peace.
I'm considering dropping rifleman for something else, but it looks like tailor is for life.
Sure, I'm happy to go hunting with the guild. Sure, I've got my 86%-90% composite armor, T21's, DXR-6b's and all that junk... But the items I never leave home without are fibreplast, polymer, hide, wooly hide, synth cloth, metal fasteners... You know all know the list. hehe.
I've been master tailor a while now and I'm still loving it. I like to socialise, I like to make friends, I like putting a smile on a customer's face with a new outfit. Today was probably my happiest day on SWG ever. Not only did I get married to my sweetie in the early hours of this morning, the days tailoring was a dream come true...
Few people even knew I existed as a Commando, a Swordsman, a Fencer... All the others I've done. Okay, a few people knew I existed as a Combat medic but not in a friendly way... But now I'm finally making a name for myself. Probably my happiest tailoring moment on SWG was today when a guildie told me that he was stood in another tailor's store and cussin' 'cause someone bought his BE clothing order even tho it had his name on it... Someone overheard and told him that if he wanted aREALLY good tailor, he should talk to K'ell... *big grin*
And a guildie presented me with a WS tool set schem (the second to last schem I needed) in exchange for 3 tool kits... Thank god for factory runs and having a nice set of 8 clasps not doing much... Later on another guildie found a crafter's apron schem going cheap and it turned out to be the last apron I needed... THEN I finally got another house planted to use as a warehouse... THEN the DE I've been looking for contacted me and finally got me my wearables crafting/storage droid that I've been looking for... THEN I got to make a whole bunch of nice stuff for some great people...
'course, there's lots of little happy moments when I get the "I just LOVE it!" or words to that effect when someone tries on something I made for them...
Just a happy tailor wanting to share his happiness with the rest of ya. I know our lack of bikini skirts, hooded cloaks and the rest of the damn stuff the Devs won't give us gets us down a bit but...
What does the profession mean to you? Does it make you happy? Care to share your happy moments as a ray of light amidst the clouds of dev-related-neglect that plague us? Combat, Jedi, whatever... People are always gonna need new clothes. And I'm gonna be there to make 'em.
This is quite possibly the most enjoyable profession in the game. And believe me, I've tried a LOT. Happy happy happy.
Have a great day, guys and gals. Share your thoughts.

Tailor is different, it's fun, it's social. But it is also stagnant. If you enjoy it today that's a good thing cause it sure isn't going to change much tomorrow. If you are a combat character there is constantly new dungeons, loot, monsters, missions, and equipment added to the game. Also there are always constantly tweaks to the combat system that shifts the balance of things. Your game experience is always changing and they do a great job with that. Also, about half the professions have been really significantly enhanced, or are about to be enhanced within the next couple of months. Big infusions of new content. As a tailor, you are kind of a sacrificial lamb for everybody else in terms of content. We see enhancements and nerfs only when they affect somebody else, not for our own sake. The way we play now is identical to how we played last year and it'll very likely be the same way we're playing next Christmas if we stick it out that long. It is what it is, for better or worse.
So I guess I'd finish that sentence with... bored and frustrated.

...enjoying being a Droid Engineer.
Tailor was a lot of fun for me at first, but lately, I haven't even been accepting custom orders. Just got tired of it, I suppose. Depending on how JTL goes, I might not be much longer for the tailor life. If I have to drop something to pick up shipwright....well, that'll be that.

....happy and at peace probably describes me too.
After i have been rushing around from planet to planet, surveying, tending harvesters etc. (mainly for my chef resources) its nice to sit down and craft a few dozen outfits to put on my vendor.
luckily i can do thePvE thing with my alt if need a little excitement.

busy, busy, busy!
I get so many orders and I have too many vendors to fill.
I do love being a tailor and like Laskia, I have an alt that I can kill things with!

/copy /paste
but to really answer the question in my own words, I find I am now mostly stuck in my shop helping customers. I love the interaction when I get those that come in and want me to help them design a custom outfit, then seeing the pleasure on their faces when I get them that perfect outfit. But it sure would be nice to get out once in a while and see the sights.

Interesting to see that some people are up to their necks in buisness. I for one don't have that much of a problem with orders, I hardly get any! But thats not a bad thing because then it gives me time to go hang out in cantina's with my favorite gal. Maybe it's just my server? I'm on bloodfin. Even if I wear the master tailor tag while walking around town I'll only get 2-3 tells. My vendors are stocked but with pretty low level clothing since I'm not really a vendor person. Thats probably one of my problems. I hardly ever get custom orders from people who walk into my store.
So I'd finish the sentence with: at peace and pretty laid back.

...Having fun, I guess. it brings in the $ anyway
Seriously though, I was actuallymore happy being a master tailor when I was just making normal clothing, very fun, creative, nice to work with customers andplaying shop with two other tailors(miss you amethyst and raz!!!
). But it's very time intensive stocking a vendor with 200+itemsand I'd rather be doing something else to be honest. So now I only sell BE-clothing, I make a lot more money this way, and it's easier to stock the vendors, but it's no where near as fun.
I think what I enjoy most is just having a well known and wellstocked vendor, it's great whena Doc or CH searching for +25 clothing comes into the store and sings my praises.

...laid back yet amazed
wow must be my server too...i can wear my tag where ever is so desire, and hardly get tells...and if i do its only 1 or 2 ... but it doesnt bother me much...i make clothes if i feel like it, and if i dont i go hunting, or sometimes i just sit around town with my guildies...no need to do anything most times heh....so yeah theres the laid backness
yet at the same time i am amazed at the customers...people never cease to amuse me in the things they do...sometimes you get a totally awesome customer...and other times you get ones where you cant help but want to put them on ignore...and people with their horrible bartering skills lol...just the other night someone asked me the price of an exotic leotard and i told them it cost 15k. i get a reply saying no it costs 14k...oh excuse me...im sorry i must have misread the price list...oh oh no ...no it says 15k...lol he didnt even ask for a lower price...just told me i was wrong...lol how can you be wrong on that? oh well...told him id be more willing to comply if he had asked nicely...lol not like 1k is a big deal...but it gave me a chuckle so what can i say?

...happy, though at times frustrated.
I too can usually walk around with my master title up on Ahazi and generally get left alone. However, some days, you know the phrase, "when it rains, it pours" I get tell from one customer, and sometimes before i can answer that one, I get a tell from someone else which sometimes results in a misstell..and well, im sure alot of tailors have gone through this. Usually thats at the busy places such as the Dant minning outpost or Coronet. Large orders of components sometimes frustrate me too, because I only have 1 factory, and it takes up alot of my time.
Despite that I still leave my master tag up almost always, because I love tailor and dont plan to give it up any time soon.
