Hello,
I am trying to find out what item of clothing will allow me to do the following things.
Can be colored either all red or all blue;
Is distinct and obvious when worn (in other words, something that is easily seen);
Something is wearable by any species;
Something that goes on either over or in place of armor;
and
Can be named by the tailor but not changed thereafter.
For anyone wondering what I am doing, I am trying to get a variation of capture the flag going where someone has to capture either the red or blue team's flag and equip it such that other teams can see it.
So anyway, please let me know what is possible. I was thinking of some sort of sash or something, but you are the experts, you tell me.

First thing that comes to mind.. Kitchen Masters Hat. Can be equipped by wookies (I believe) and twileks. Not sure about our new Ithorian friends. It can be colored red or blue, not totally..but the main hat part can be, just the part on the skull will be different. Tailors can name it upon crafting, name can't be changed afterwards.
Sounds kinda fun actually heh

Can Ithorians wear the Chef Apron? I think that's the one you'd want to use, as Wookiees can wear it and it'd be very visible. I don't know off the top of my head, but it probably takes up your chest armor slot.

Ithorians have their own versions of the Chef Apron and Chef Hats but those two items would be perfect for your idea if there are no Ithorianstaking part

I'm thinking a belt. The belt can be worn over armor. Every species can wear it (not sure about Ithorians... but I think they'll work).
Once the tailor names it, it cannot be changed.
One reason the belt might not be a good choice is because it might not be something someone can catch right away... not something that catches attention within the snap of a finger.

Bah, yeah, my quick search didn't find it because it's not named "Ithorian Chef Apron".

I am pretty sure Ithorians are left out of this no matter what beause, as was stated above, they are only able to wear items specifically marked "Ithorian," which precludes any other race from wearing said item. :/

You could maybe do an Ith newsboy hat for any of those species in the same color as the chef hats...
How about robes of some kind? Wookiees, Ithorians and all other species can wear robes, just not all the same style but maybe close enough if you do an all white team then an all black team or something... again due mostly to lack of pallette colors for wookiee clothing

Unfortunately, the post was about capture the flag. We're looking for something that's highly visible to be the flag.

Two choices. All backpacks are universal to all races. But they are set in colour. You can't change them. If every player went in with no pack, it would be easy. An ithorian, wookie, human, etccan wear the same item. This means that you don't have to have two items so that both could wear it.
The only other option is to have a Kitchen Master's Hat in your colour choice (255 options) and craft both the ithorian and "other" versions. The player that takes the flag must put on one hat, anc carry the other. that way, it won't matter who comes next if it is able to be taken. The person takes both, and puts on the one that can be worn.

Hmm... I'm guessing that this will be a heavily PvP capture the flag game so there aren't that many options. Will there be wookies or ithorians in the group? Will everyone be wearing composite armor? If there are wookiees and ithorians then I can't really think of anything that will work for everyone and can be brightly colored. If not then people can wear a partial set of armor. I know that they fixed the partial armor bug in publish 11 so that you have to wear armor pants now, but I think that you can still get away with no biceps or bracers. A brightly colored shirt will certainly show through at the arms if you do that. But as I said, it depends on what people will wear and what their races are. Also, any jedi in the group probably won't be wearing armor.
I'm not sure if this is helpful or not.
