Okay now this has been semi suggested but I think this would be the best Idea... how bout making a Changing Booth/Dressing room that Architects could build and Tailors could install in Thier place of buisness? This way the customer can pick out the exact thing w/ the exact colors and we wouldn't have to play 20 questions? This "Changing Booth/Dressing room" would be based on the Tailors level and would only show those into which the Tailor could craft... and could be used if the Tailor wasn't on-line... what do you think?

I think thats a great Idea. have it based off of the crafters data pad. If the dervs dont like it, mayeb make it a1 lot dressingroom/work station, or a (walk in)dressingroom/factory for cloths only.

Or have the architect (sp) get a house design just for ID's, Tailors, ect ect with the needed hardware in them (booths)

On a vaguely similar topic, in terms of a purely decorative dressing room...
Get hold of the Abstract paintings of Golden Petals and use 6 of them to make a standing screen people can dress up behind. Best way is to get 2 of each of the 3 different paintings when your server gets around to them, place 1 of each type in a slight zig-zag line with the other three in the same place but turned around so the screen looks solid from both sides.
I might try and get a screenshot of this later.

Wow. I almost didn't finish Tailor -- the first thing I picked to do when I started the game -- because I got so upset over wasting all my resources trying to find the right shade of brown pants.
If this was in there back then, I might still be a Tailor today. Nice idea!

Oooh... that's a great idea! Gah, now if only Starsider would hurry up and get golden petals.

hehe, it's one of the nicer pictures, can't wait till I have all three types so the screen looks better.
Anyway without further ado.... clicky
Not the best looking picture but I just sorted it out quickly for the thread. Oh and a pair of purple hawtpants to whoever notices first.

I like this idea. Maybe there would be an inventory for the dressing room where the tailor could add in items that a buyer could try on, but they wouldnt be able to leave the room/house with them. Also like your dressing screen idea, elhana! Now you need to put a roof over it so the perverts dont peek

the Idea I'm thinking of here would be just that a changing room where he/she could veiw your level of clothing and the colors it comes in on him or her.... Like an afk ID booth except they can't get the clothes, they tell you what they want and then you can fill the order out... this would of course be for Tailors who do special orders, but I think it'd be a nice addition to the game...

I have been using bookcases to make changing rooms. drop 2 of them on top of each other, rotate one so the backsides face out all around. If you have a friendly architect they can change the name of the item so it's not "bookcase" when someone targets it. use 4 of them to make an L shape against a wall and you're set. A chair and a lamp for decor and you're money.

That's exactly what I do, only I put mine in a box against a corner, then stuck an Ottoman inside with a wall light. Looks like a fancy changing room. Tada! =)

Well it's not bad, when you see it straight on and see the picture repetition it doesn't look as good though. I can't wait until I can use the three different pictures so it looks more like one single object. I might even go buy a schematic for the picture and explain the idea to an architect, I'm sure they could easily make sets available that would be in demand with better named items.
BTW for those of you that are interested in placement, drop two pictures together, move both the same until you have them in the right place. Rotate one 180, it leaves a gap between the two which you can use to line up for getting them in just the right position. Then just move the rotated one 6 forward towards the other and they join up perfectly so there's no visible join.
I'm still decorating the room they're in so I think I might add a chair and wall hook and move things around a bit still.
