Thread: COLORS..well my wish of them

Even better would be sliders or value input for RGB - That'd give a vast variety of colours
It might have put a bit more strain client-side though - Dunno how SWG is coded obviously
My thing about any sliders or value input> replicating colors
As of now we can all fairly match what is brought to us by eye and return a coordinating item
have something that isnt a direct table to compare to will make this extremely difficult
and no matter what colors we have it would be very nice to have #s on them to track better
(#s on pallette then the color #s on clothes when examined, so people could actually say that blue #67 and mean that blue)
oh well all in fun anyways ![]()

Have to agree here, I have all my clothing colour numbered as well as named as it makes it so much easier for someone to pick out items that (more-or-less) match and it makes replacements later on so much easier
Although I know if our palettes change all my current numbers will become useless
But hey, if it means we get yellow and red lux gownsI can live with it ![]()

Why on earth not?
*sigh* no bright yellow jumpsuit with black stripes for me.
There's actually a gold color on the full color pallette that matches my favorite gold on the metallic.

RGB colors would be the easiest to match. If there were sliders that listed the rgb or cmyk values, then you could name the clothes by thier rgb and there would be no reason it couldnt be matched perfectly.

I've just begun tailor and one of the first things I noticed the limited available colours.
What if tailors could learn new colours from looted clothing, kinda like a reverse engineering type thing...
Say you take 2 looted articles of clothing with the same colour, and pop 'em into your dye-reading tool. Out come two useless shreds of cloth, but added to your palette is a brand new colour for you to use on your own clothing!
You earn more colors as you progress through the tailor tree
currently i do not know of any item containing a color a Master Tailor cannot make
and
Welcome to the clothe!
be sure to read stickies and faqs at top of thread, will save you tons of posting and questions

we do name clothes now, some even use reference sites to refer to for color lables/marked tables, but the point being is we should not have to place values into lables to match color in the future.
a system which shows the color value in inspect or examine itself would by far be more functional then us typeing it in ourselves (imagine how many will miskey a # and not notice til 'matching' it later)
being able to click colors off a table allows us to see the color in veiw without such minor 1value tweeking
don't get me wrong,I want the full allowance a RGB box would give us for color, especially after watching friend play RAWvsWAR on PS2..full slider tint box for everything {including teeth} and print/texture overlay up the wazoo for outfits~oh it made me dream of such a system in SWG..*drool*
