Hello there I am nearing master BE and its become quite apparent to me that I 1) Will never sit outside a starport selling mounts because I persoanlly find it annoying and that 2) I can't stand making pet stims and pet vitality packs because they doen't semm to interesting. This has lead me to Opening a new crated tissue store. The problem is I amnot a veteran of the BE boards and when I look at there pricing of 2000 credsit for one tissue it puts me into a state of shock. If there are BEs reading this I would appreciate it if they would explain their pricing guide. Now I have come to the Tailor forums to learn what price I should sell crates of BE tissue for, how much tailors sell the enhanced clothing for, If I opened a store immediatly outside of Coronet would you support it or would you keep your BE on call when you needed tissues, and what crates should I make the most out of.

(Keep in mind this will be a Master rather than a novice so the tissues will be high end)

Thanks for any or all questions that you answer

Please post your server too. ;-)

The BE I buy from charges 3k per tissue, usually in the 15-17 stat range, and they get delivered to me in crates the day after I order them (75k/crate). I find it difficult to locate a reliable master BE to make these tissues, so I'm pleased with my BE service right now.

Good luck on your new shop! You should have no problem with business. Tailors buy all the different tissues - crates are preferred so we can run them through our factory, and a lot of clothes require factory tissues.

I was reluctant to post the server because I still have to get 2 boxes in the sampling line which is a slow process so I am only collecting resources at this point. I dont hink Ill charge that mcuh but I am having trouble deciding.

The idea of this store is to be an easy place for tailors to purchase any tissues whenever they need them rather than having to chase BEs down. I I trying to find the most convinent location and I have basically decided un 1 kilometer outside of coronet. I dont yet have an idea of in which direction it will be outside of Coronet though.

if you had a store that was actually stocked I would definately go to you. I've wandered from planet to planet searching for bio engineers who have tissues, or who can make em and let me tell you, I'm about ready to grind up Bio Eng to make my own, it's just that hard to find em.

And I'm on bria one of the better populated servers for crafters. I shudder to think of what it's like on say bloodfin.

having a cheap and reliable BE cloth store is a good idea but don't cut yourself shorton pricing. Imo all tailors will sell the clothing for as much as they can, even if they get a cheaper deal on the cloth, so you would only be hurting yourself. Money is super easy to get in this game. I have played a bio engineer and it's evil to get high quality meat in large quantities so the cloths are worth alot. You could sell individual cloths at a reduced price but the factory made crates of the bio engineer stuff is worth the high prices.

Thats true.... One problem I have had is any Tailors that buy crates from me are extremely relucant to tell me waht they sell the items for. My guess is possibly to low but I still fell that 2k per tissue is appetable *if* I am able to obtain resources cheaply.

I've paid from 1k to 5k per tissue, it all depends on how difficult a time I'm having finding a bio eng to sell em to me . The 1k tissues were off the first bio eng who ever had anything at all for me. I promptly made an order for more and havn't heard back from him in a month or so now lol, guess it was easier to "forget" my order and charge more to others or something .

After that I've been paying 2k for normal tissues, ones without eggs. The egg tissues I've been paying 5k for.

To be honest 5k per tissue is a little high for me, the initial outlay of 125k for a crate hits the bank account hard.

Speak for yourself.

I take whatever the BEs charge me, and double it. So far everything I've gotten into stock cost me 500 credits per tissue - but then, I'm from Rori, we treat each other right.

The standard pricing model is to take the bonus (or higher of the two bonuses) and multiply that by x, for values of x ranging from 250 to 400. So +16/+4 tensile resistance they would charge 16 x 400 = 6400 credits per tissue. For me to use up two of those to make a spec-ops duster I would have to charge 12,800 plus the normal 1,650 for the duster itself, or roughly 14,450 credits. I'm told that on the more crowded planets, there are people who cheerfuly pay this much.

There are many BEs who won't deal with me because I'm on record as saying that this sickens me. Even at the most exorbinant prices I've seen for top-quality ingredients, that tensile resistance cloth costs no more than 2000 credits to make, so more than triple cost is a heck of a markup. If Sony intended these to sell for those kinds of prices, they'd take more like 120 resources, which means that they probably should.

On the other hand, if you're not at Master BE yet, don't count on these prices still being this high when you do make it. The other day somebody brought me 6 crates of tissues to make into cloth and then clothing. She told me she paid 900 credits per tissue for level 4 and master level tissues.

I usually sell my tissues on Gorath for about 100 cr per major pt. I am also a tailor and make only fieldwear and charge 500 cr per major pt. I am on the Gorath server. Be careful what you intend to stock, some of the resources are a little difficult to get in high quality and large stacks.

I too pay 3k to 5k per tissue in crates of 25 at +15 to +19 (for Bleed defense.)

I allow all my BE's to visit the shop. I also have a vendoritem price for individual pieces. Most of my work is sold as a set so the more someone buys the lower the total price. I factor that into my pricing.

Those who buy more get the best deal over someone just buying 1 shirt or jacket.

The other marketing ploy I use is to offer a free accessory to any sale - say a dress blouse with a buffed skirt or small bustier, pair of shoes etc....

Come to tempest - come to tempest ------ I will buy weekly ---- come to tempest.

It depends a lot on your server and the status of the market for meat, and what other tailors/BE charge.

My alt was a BE and I dropped it because like you the only thing I liked was making tissues for my tailor, and it was too many points to just make tissues. But also, finding good meat on my server is a real headache, and people tend to charge 10cr/unit even for mediocre meat. I got asked if I was selling them to other tailors and just said no, as I had a hard time just getting enough resources for myself... And I would certainly not have sold them for less than 3k per tissue (15+).

Now, to the person saying that tailors will charge as much as they can, unfortunately it's not the case for me, as three stores next to me are charging 10k for the 15-15 clothes. So I had to decrease my prices some, and I still stay a bit above that but I keep a stock of 200 items or so on my vendor, which is not their case at all. But I still can't sell them for the 15k or so I used to be charging.

I finally found a very good BE selling me tissues at 300cr/point, which is half what I charge afterwards, and it's good to me. They are doing the hardest job and I have no problem giving them half what I gain for the tissues.
