I made a pricing spreadsheet for Tailoring. It is in MS Excel format. You can get it here:

http://www.watt.com/~dave/swg/swg-tailoring-030730.xls

You may have to right click, save target as. I hope it helps. Please let me know if you find any errors -- I'll want to fix them if you do.

Wow, this is really cool janey.

A neat addition might be to add a cpu calculator. I can just type in a price and lookuphow many units of resource an item takes so i can get a quick reality check on my arbitrary price. Even better would be to maybe add two more columns, Aribtrary Price and CPU on the price sheet page. That way I wouldn't have to even look up the resource amount. I could just type in an amount in the Arbitrary columnof Uniform Boots and see that on that item X amout is Y cpu. Just a thought

A lot of times I just make up a price and then figure out how many cpu of resource it actually turns out to be. Sometimes that number is too large ( or shall i say *very* profitable, heh too large indeed so I am then able to adjust my arbitrary price (if absolutely necessary).

Otherwise fantastic job. Can't wait to sink my teeth into it some more.

Ranger... thanks for pointing out that I missed Intricate Dress. The reason it was not included is because swgcraft.com does not have the Schematic. Is anyone at home who is able to make the Intricate Dress who can tell me: Skill level, number & type of components, & number and type of resources used?

I found some other errors (mostly formatting), and will publish it again this weekend with some fixes.

Oemaru ... a Credits Per Unit calculator is a good idea. How would you handle it? Would you count Difficulty points in the equasion, or simply resources? Frankly, I figured that this spreadsheet would be a Skeleton, and that users would modify it to meet their specific needs. Some resources seem to bemore expensive than others... and I'm not sure if CPU is really a 'fair' way to do it? However, I see why it might be handy to have an average.

Some of the scematics maybe missing, because you have to be standing next to a station for them to show.

Like the Intricate dress...)

I check some more when I login tonight

You might want to think about adding a duster modifier of like +3000 , if you scale everything so that a duster costs 5000, everything else ends up costing around 3000-4000.

Very nice!

been lost in pricing stuff LOL

now to figure out the cost of my materials and i'm set

one thing i did notice is that if you put a price in every row for materials - the total price on a few do not show anything..

All in all once i get my costs down i'll be printing this thig up and keeping it close by

Ayup, ima gonna add in the two columns mahself on the price sheet. I started making something but it is definitely not as stellar as this "skeleton" is.

I was purely going for a Price/Resource calculation. Nothing Fancy. I just use it to get a ballpark estimate. /mood greedy There is no "fair" in pricing out items hehe j/k

How your calculator works is more specific, which is a lot better, I just haven't priced my stuff from that direction before. I usually start with where on the tree the item is, how much I charged for the previous "version" of a similar item, and the rarity (if any) of the resource I need to use. Most of the time I just come up with a number and my customers seem to have no problemo with it. Of course I do work deals to. It is a very amorphous process as I do most of my selling one-on-one.

This spreadsheet you have here is perfect for me for storing and figuring out my vendor prices.

3 items aren't showing values because they don't have the resource counts input yet:

Formal Gown
Heavy Shoulder Pad
Short Sleeve Jacket

Regarding missing information...

I am getting the information in the spreadsheet from www.swgcraft.com. There were a few schematics that they did not have the data for (like the ones you mentioned), and are apparently missing a few schematics, like the Intricate Dress.I am a Novice Tailor. So, those plus the ones at swgcraft.com are the only schematics I have to work from.

If I'm missing information about schematics, or missing schematics altogether, let me know:

  • Name of Schematic

  • Skill Required

  • Name & Number of Components

  • Name & Number of Resources

And I'll add it in there. Thanks, everyone!

  • Name of Schematic

  • Skill Required

  • Difficulty Rating

  • Which tool it uses

  • Whether it requires a Station
