well maybe they could bury her in the chef hat, and then everyone would be happy ![]()
I've given up even trying to cope with people's orders when I'm out and about, so now I use the 'Master Merchant' tag pretty much all the time. It cuts down on custom orders dramatically, but then no-one views me as a Luxurious Dress producing android ![]()
I've had a few of those experiances myself. The master merchant tag is pretty much perma rooted over my head now. ![]()

I had a person today send the standard "Hi" tell, and then followed up with a few more of the "Can you help me with some clothes?"
At the point where he finally asked... "Can you make me a Ubese Armoured Shirt?"
*blink*
Now he goes and uses the word "Armoured" in the request, so I must assume that these people realize that it is a piece of armour. Looks great, but come on! So I polietely inform him that no, it is an armoursmith's item and I can't make those. That's the last I hear of him. He is standing about 10 meters away, but doesn't respond after that....
Seems that so long as they need you, they will be nice, and afterwards.... you are background noise, adding to lag.
I certainly understand the issue here. There is a growing problem in the game and this is simply the tip of the iceberg.
As a dedicated crafter you really cant participate in combat and be really effective and to have the merchant skill you need makes it even worse. So we concentrate on our tailor business until we reach a point where we have more credits that we an possibly spend,,and when that happens, the patience I once had to answer question about bio and attachments begins to wear thin. When I get the, "I need or Hi beginning" I am starting to dread what's next.
The simple truth is the the tailor profession isnt looked upon as a "skill" profession,,anyone that wanted to be one could be, thats the attitude. And in some respects they are correct. But in many other ways they arent, And when someone "grumbles" or comes with an "attitude" and I am looking at my bank balance ,,its really simple,,I dont need their business, wont put up with a bad or disrepectful attitude, but the problem really wont go away. I think its why tailors are disappearing,,,we earned our credits,,enjoyed tailor for awhile and now are either bored or frustrated by the lack of new and interesting things to do,,and lets be honest, a chef's hat and apron isnt exactly the most exciting thing to have as a new item. The game needs help and fast, and certainly our profession does, not because its broken, but because after you have been a tailor for 6 months,,its getting boring.

ROFLM...effin'AO!!!
Nice story, n'JessiYes, it does happen. People try to be all nice-nice, buddy-buddy with you when they want something...and when you can't deliver, of course - well then you don't exist to them *sigh* and they just move on....grrrrrrr...
Yea. I had someone who wanted training yesterday and was really friendly until I trained him as a master tailor. Then no thank you, no nothing. I had served my purpose and no longer mattered after that. Some people are just rude.
I think you missed the joke there.
By the time I posted this, I had only got as far as restocking the belts and bandoliers, which are the first groups of items on the tailoring tool ![]()
