When new information is released, I'll update this thread.
Known info
- Ithorians will have their own wearables. Here's the article.
Questions I'm trying to get answered
- Will the Ithorian Wearables be craftable by tailors who choose not to purchase the expansion?
What we don't have official word on
- Any new non-Ithorian wearables requested by tailors

Hehehe. Thanks NJ, you beat me to it! You don't know it but I was gonna suggest that you post this exact thread.
The only thing I might add to it is that in light of issues with cowboy hats and other rumored issues
, you might want to state that there is no other official word yet on tailor requested issues.

Well, I believe that the reason Ithorians have so many specific wearables is because they, like Wookiees, cannot wear normal clothing. So no hawtpants for them. As far as I know, Sullustans do not have any specific wearables, and therefore should be able to wear hawtpants.

I don't have the official word, but I imagine that non-JTL tailors would be able to craft it because of this:
I don't see why you shouldn't be able to make it, while JTL people would be able to. It's just clothing, after all. T
This would disrupt the economy because people would have to hunt down JTL tailors, and would put make it unfair to the Ithorians, since the other race might be able to use regular clothing, and this would severely limit them in the beginning, since I imagine most people aren't going to be concerned with craftin clothing items, but will want to jump down to the fight, or make starship componets. I know there will be people who will be loyal to the Ithorians, but you cannot be sure you will find one over the vast majority of servers and players.
Although, I do imagine that many people would wantto purchase JTL who are already in SWG. Again, I don't see why they should limit Ithorian clothingcraftingto JTL owners. That would just mess everything up, and the main focusof JTL is the starships, and all the new space content. Not some Ithorian wearables.
Also, it would require extra coding, which overall, would make this more trouble than it is worth.
Buuuut...We all knowthat there were some debatable decisionsmade from SOE in the past, so we shall have to see... We shall haveto see...
This is just my opinion though, not the official word.
Thanks for tracking down this information, NJ62! You're doing a good job.
EDIT: Fixed some spelling mistakes. I hate those little buggers!

I'll be the blade runner here...
The ithorian skeleton (graphically speaking) moves the body differently, so no current clothing will fit them. It would clip and sway in a manner that would be ridiculous. Hence they will need their own unique clothes like wookies have. Sullastan skeletons are the same as the other races, so all the normal clothing fits them fine. They should look just like a human with a different head in hawtpants.
Other than that, I follow Fuschia out the door with a tight lip...

In my OPINION (not fact, just speculation)
They will require you to buy JTL because that means more money for them. I'm sure they have marketing people crunching away on numbers and figuring that if they don't throuw something in for everyone, no matter how small, they will lose sales on JTL since all it will be is a new version of X-wing/Tie Fighter. To be honest the option to make new clothing is the best thing I've heard about JTL since I doubt I'll ever fly a ship and know for a fact that I'll never play the two new races.
Like I said...just opinion not fact (but I'm willing to bet not too far from the truth).

JTL is a "SPACE" expansion and is geared towards playing in that new area. There are some things that trickle into the ground game that will be part of our current playstyle. Ithorians will exist. They will be walking around your malls. They will EXPECT to be able to buy clothes that they can use.
We will See the clothing they wear. They can sell it to us, we can put it on display in our shops if we have one, so there is no reason to believe that the schematics for it will be available to jtl accounts only. Infact , just thinking of how they can put that code inplace is boggling. They would have to make a Tailor(ground) and Tailor(space) profession, because as you advance, you get skills and schematics based on the unique profession you are in. Train a box, get some stuff.
Adding some clothes to the ground game does not take away anything from the space game. You won't be making ithorian clothing in your X-wing cockpit. There will not be a stampede of tailors to buy the space game so they can craft the new clothes. If you had to be a JTL player to make the clothes, the poor ithorians would be in the stock items for a long time until one of the players wanted to try tailoring. I mean, let's face it. You are not going to get the game, see all the cool space stuff and say "Let's make clothes" - some will, but a very very small number. Most who get JTL are going to be in orbit 9 seconds after the shrinkwrap hit's the floor.

n'Jessi can we get a confirmation if we need to buy JTL to possibly make anything they might add in. I need to know if I should preorder or not, as space doesnt interest me but new content does.
