Are you sure you are talking about clothing? It sounds like you are talking about armor like ubese shirts and mabari belts.
Some mab and ubese peices are classified as clothing even though Armorsmiths make it and not Tailors.
This was done because of the SEA problems allowing Clothing attachments in those armor peices..
so instead of switching the SEA coding, they made Ubese bandos, ubese shirts, and mab belts classified as clothing, no HAM with 1000decay
{prenerf meaning before they had any condition at all, which was added when they became clothing}

I have no idea about the ubese bando or mabri belt.

Well it would be just terrible to make an item, like the belt, that NEVER had a condition on it in the first place unwearable. If an item has condition and it wears out and the user wishs to keep wearing it, its not a big deal.If the only reason you want this to stop is so you can make more credits, I would say change professions then.
Hmm... First of all ubese shirts and mabari belts are made by armorsmiths and not tailors. Any repeat business would be going to themrather than us. Second, items that were created with no condition should just be converted to 1000/1000 condition and allowed to decay naturally instead of automatically being made non-equipable. Thats not how it currently works, but it looks to me like they only got the preperation for decay half-way done before they had to turn their attention to other things.

I am sure i read that jedi can still use powers while wearing the ubese shirt, this however cannot be worn with jedi robes.

Hmm... I know it doesn't work with a mabari belt. For my jedi character I actually use one of these as a safety device to keep from accidently hitting the wrong button and using force powers in the wrong place. I am so weak that if I got on the terms I would certainly be dead.
With ubese shirts now taking CA's they now act like clothing.

Mabari belts still take AA's though so i guess they are still classed as armour.

Ahh... Mine doesn't have any sockets and I am no expert on armor!
