I was wondering, now that the situation has stabilized some and that more and more tailors are selling the enhanced clothes, what have you decided to charge for them?

I charge 12k for 15/15 tissues (800/pt taking the average), then I add the price of the clothes themselves. I just count the number of tissues per clothes and multiply it for the final price. I make about 100k in average per day with enhanced clothing, and I get quite a few orders, yet 500 feet away there are people who charge almost half the same price for the clothes (granted, the choice is poor). I don't want to decrease the prices too much because 1) People don't care at all about money, they ALL tell me that, 2) I don't want to run out of resources to make the tissues as it's getting harder anf harderto find good meat/hides/bones, let alone eggs (50 crap eggs sell for 3k now in bazaar).

What sells the most is 1) injury/wound, 2) melee, 3) mask scent, 4)bleed, 5) intimidation/warcry and last wound healing clothes.

So what are you all doing with enhanced clothing?

I still haven't really gone "big time" with skill mod clothing yet (I should reach tissues 4 tonight which is a huge milestone for me, unlocking 2 more advanced tissues I can sell). I'm making mainly +6 tissues except for +13 bleed defense tissues. My routine now is to take one of my crates of bonuses, plus hand craft a pile of new ones, and make up 4 or 5 pieces of clothing using whatever bonus I'm working on that night, and put them in the vendor each night before I go to bed (kind of a "bonus of the day" kind of thing).

They sell extremely well, even the +6 ones, no doubt about it. For basic tissues I'm adding 3k (4k for advanced bleed) for the first cloth and about 2k (3k for advanced bleed) for every cloth after that to the base price. Generally at least 3 or the 4 pieces of clothing I put on the vendor are gone the next day, doesn't even seem so matter what the clothing is or what the bonuses are, lol. For advanced myoflex which I'll be using tonight for the first time, it will be 10k/tissue.

I also seem to get 2 or 3 custom "maximum bonus" types of orders a day. One amusing one came last night as this guy sent me a /tell asking me if I "did" BE clothing, I replied that I did, and he ran out to my shop. He proceeded to explain to me how BE clothing worked *rolls eyes* (he had most of the details completely wrong and scrambled up, and it took me a lot longer to explain to him how they REALLY worked than it did to somebody that had never heard of them before) and then he floored me by handing me a full crate of +15 active bio sensors. That was definitely a first, lol, and was kind of insulting in a way, but since his "mojo" was more powerful than mine, I was happy to oblige him for a really nice fee.

I'd say my most popular custom requests are (in order):
1) Mask Scent +6
2) Bleed Defense +12
3) Stun Melee +6/+2
4) Medical wound healing +6
5) Entertainer wound healing +6

I do probably sell more medical wound healing than any other tissue, but it's generally as a "throw in" to something they're already buying with a bonus they want much more. When they request one of the others, I just tell em I can throw in some medical wound healing for a few extra k and most of the time they want it.

I have not gotten any specific requests yet for warcry/intimidate or cover.

There's only one other vendor in the city where I live as near as I can tell that advertises bio engineered clothing. I went there yesterday, and it was a pretty funny sight. It was in a real unassuming small house, most of the bonuses were either +1 or +2 (obviously a BE noob), seemed to be added into really simple (and ugly) pieces of clothing (tailor noob), and were charging about 10k for each item(!). Seeing that definitely made my day, lol.

Stock up on Active Biosensors (+treatment) those will fly off your vendors. +bleed resist and +stun/+melee are also requested frequently. As for pricing, look around at what other tailors are charging and do what's best for you. If demand is higher than you can keep up, raise your prices a bit. I've changed tissue suppliers and was able to drop my prices by more than half as a result of the lower tissue prices. As it stands I could price a little lower but the demand is very high right now and there are some nights I am constantly cranking out custom orders. If I went lower with the pricesI'd never get a moment for myself.

I have only seen 1 person besides myself selling this clothing, and he wasn't even a tailor! He was asking 40k per piece.... I sell mine at 27k for 1 or 50k for 2. You might say this price is high, but they go like hot cakes, I made 1 mil in about 4 days doing this.

Me too. I haven't made a single one yet. I still haven't had time to make at least one of all these shiney brand new Master schematics. I just moved from Naboo to Tatooine. I'm still decorating my house/shop. I have to buy all new harvesters. I got my first factory and did my first factory run just this week. Doing only custom orders till I can get my vendor set up again. Weee! I'm having fun but... I'm too frazzled and busy to dabble in enhanced clothes right now. And I'm moving RL in a couple weeks and won't have internet again for I dunno how long... So I see little point in getting all geared up just to shut down till I get back. Maybe I'll stick my finger in the bio clothing pie when I get back. It's nice to hear you others are doing well and having fun too though. Go Tailors!!

Bioi-clothing is relatively new and as time goes on the pricing will tend to settle into a range similar to what regular clothing has done.

One issue that does create more expense is that critical failures tend to be more frequent ,,this is due to the two step process ,,first to make the panel and then to make the clothing item.

I have made about 30 items of camo/scent clothing and have had 8 critical failures,,I am not sure if its just bad luck,,or if the quality of the bio tissue is somehow raising the chance of a failure. The tissues I am using are +16 camo and +17 scent all from crates.

Secondly, as in any item we will have some that have different pricing ideas,,some that can purchase their tissues cheaper or even possibly make their own,,,

I have decided to price my tissues at a level where I can recover my initial purchase price for the tissues,,offset the loss due to critical failures and make a similar profit as I make on normal clothing items,,

and if it gets to the point where I cant sell at that price I will just stop making bio clothing,,but the one thing I dont want to do is to be constantly crafting the entire time I am in game,,just to meet the demand because my price is too low,,Honestly ,,

These clothing items are best used by players at advanced levels any way and ,,pricing at 20000 per item or 25000 per item shouldnt change their decision anyway,,,based on the benefit the clothing creates by being able to free up skill points by surrendering master scout,,and the amount of credits they likely have in their bank

I purchased a wearables factory and I buy my BE tissues by the crate usually 25 - I burn 1 for the schematic and let my factory churn out the 24 - this does not stop the crit's on assembly but at least I cut it in half knowing that the enahanced cloths will be Ok. I just wish we could rename the crates so we would know what the enhancement was at a glance.

MY pricing is on a sliding scale - from 900 for +1's to 10k for +19's(the finished product)- this is due to the competetion and the economy on Tempest server. I wind up paying 2.5k to 3.5k per tissue in crates.

I have also started using factory crates for Spec-op Dusters to Bleed protect them - but since that requires 2 tissues for same 1 tissue enhancement bonus I price these accordingly - 15 to 20K.

These may sound low but it is what our server economy will bear at the moment. The resources - other than hide - I buy for on the average3 cpus that which I do not harvest myself.

I suppliment my income by selling crates of (non BE) Reinforced Fiberplast panels & Synthetic cloths to Armoursmiths.

The question really was,,do critical failures occur more frequently with higher bonus clothing items or does it not matter,,

And since I only have experience with one bonus level ,,was attempting to get some response regarding other levels of bonus,,

Does bio engineered clothing even work??

I have a medicine skill of 20.
While wearing a jacket which boosts my medicince skill +11 to 31 I was NOT allowed to use medicine which required 30 skill??

I've heard that tapes do not work at all??

Medicine use never worked and never will, it was removed from the new tissues.

For the enhancements, definitely run them in a factory as soon as you get the crate, it will save you lots of money for sure, and you'll end up with a nice crate of enhanced SCs or RFPs. You can change the name when you make the schematic (which is a very good point actually I've never thought about doing it and I waste tons of time looking though all my crates lol).

ArthurDent, it's what I did too, getting new skills and new tissues is really exciting isn't it? Wait until you get master and get all these experimentation points, it's a blast!

For the critical failures, I haven't noticed more with higher tissues, but I bought some enhanced crafting tools and it definitely seems to help.

My husband is the BE.. we worked out a price that's 1k per point of skill (ie a +17 bleed resist tissue is 17k), adding an additional 8k for each extra tissue required (made for a bloody expensive reinforced jumsuit), then charging for the cost of the clothes and 5k per order for special orders. We keep the vendor stocked with a nice selection, so special orders aren't terribly frequent. Making a killing with the stuff.
