one of the best WS on my server crafted post cu a 82 SAC 1120ish max dam PH with 2.8 speed

melee has always been on the short end with enchantments. just have to live with what we have...
and it is fairly easy to make a pretty good power Hammer. i made a max damage 1.1k damage after slice 2.76s and 96SAC. you can make good post CU hammers However you can't get the damage up to the few high damage power Hammers like the few 1.2k hammers that are floating around cuz there is a cap now on max slice damage :/.

just be happy you even HAVE a craftable master level weapon. Us TKs dont even have that much.

Hello, this has been on my mind for some time now, trying to gather components to craft a new hammer.
I cant help but notice the overabundance of high damage, low speed krayt tissues and gorax bones floating around in the economy, resulting in a multitude of SAC and damage capped ranged weapons ending up in the hands of just about any serious ranged player.
Swordsman are suposed to be the heavy damage dealing melee class equivalent to riflemen. Yet, it seems even carbineers are catching up, and often beating the powerhammers in terms of DPS,SAC and max damage. It may just be very bad luck, but I have yet to loot a yellow cube, or acklay bones that will make weapons slicable anywhere near the SAC/Damage of the pre-CU convertions. Sure, you can max damage, but at what price? 122+ SAC? Ranged classes do not have to make this compromise, so why would we?
To sum it up, am I the only one who feels DEVs should take a look at acklay bones/geo cubes ect and bring them up to par with their ranged weapon equivalent? Feel free to post comments.

with some average geo components I have had ph's made with 82 sac and 950ish damage. /shrug not stellar but it works for me.

eh my 2 hammers i had made 1 is dmg caped, other is 1157 both have like a 120sac :-/ its depressing... the only seem to be good hamemrs are hte pre-cu ones.

Well for swrodsman remebr that even if we have less damage we are the ones that have advanced armour break.

QFT, that skill and Critical hit alone make the Swords a 5 in offence. The only reason I have considered going ranged is in large scale battles, sometimes I can't get to my target in time for a hit or two, but other than that, Swordsmen pwn post-cu

The part that really gets me:
Krayts: Huntable anytime.
Gorax: Huntable anytime
Great for ranged.
Krayts: Can drop pearls anytime
Force Sensitive/Nightsisters/DJK/DJMs: Huntable anytime for Crystals
Great for Jedi
Acklay: ONLY EVERY 2 HOURS
Geo Caves: Looted components just don't stach up. You MIGHT be able to add 25 min and Max damage.
Melee gets the shaft.
Anyone see the problem here?? A ranged prof can go out and loot-whores to upgrade their gear at anytime, so can jedi. Melee is stuck doing it once every two hours in ONE LOCATION. Something is not right.
A proposed fix:
KimoGilla Bones
Make them like Krayt tissue: Same stat range, same drop rate, same modifications. Kimos can drop scales, like Krayts, why not make them drop tissues or Bones or something??

in real life, what do you think would take more effort, squeseing a trigger or swinging a hunge sledge hammer?
you can hold a sledge hammer and i will hold an automatic gun, we will see which does more damage in 2 seconds, in real life.
I think the system is more realistic now than it was pre cu where we could hit someone while they shot us and we would win. keep in mind, this is coming from a total melee player.

I had a 5.7 second 750 PH .... which was my baby at the time ^_^ ... turned out having rediculously high SAC and low damage
