Carbineer counterattack line + Master Swordsman. I'm curious as to what the effect of all that counterattack is. Has anyone tried this?

Btw good spec . i started Carbines and was still at 1/2/2/1 when i switched to Heavy swords and since i hadn't made it far in Doc yet, i had plenty of points and didn't drop Carbines yet . [(still haven't) .. @#$%ing Giant Peko's and reptilian fliersare hard to kill w/o a ranged weapon to get the final kill] and so far i am thinking about re-organizing my plan for doc to continue with carbines . maybe just keep master medic only... i usually start with the action shot to drop everyone in the cone in front to thier knees so i can rush in and start swinging . although i hate the fact of the differing HAM attacks . too bad we aren't more like Pistol / Fencer. and if they start running away i switch back to carbines and action / full auto fire a couple times. have a Real nice slicedlasercarbine to lay them down too. still looking for a good Power hammer . only have one maxing at 454 damage presently. and (hangs head) that is sliced . can't find a weaponsmith to make me a good one yet

so if anyone on Intrepid could lend me a hand in this endeavor i'd also be much appreciated.

I plan to. In fact, I posted my spec plan a day or two ago.

I don't even really plan on using any carbine skills when I get them. I'm just getting it for the +counterattack. Ranged just isn't my style. I'd much rather warcry 2, lunge them to their knees, lunge 2, then beat em down.

I'm hoping with some +intimidate/warcry clothing, I can perform well without armor. I HATE armor, and thanks to CoB and mitigation, I hopefully won't need any, even against your uber PvPing with heavy armor/buffs guys.

Please tell us your results. I am very eager to see if CA can be as powerful as Dodge

Yea I am actually doing this build now. Currently I am Swordsman 0432 and Carbineer 0012.......

I am noticing I counter more every defense box I lvl.......I have been using COB since swordsman 0411 and i notice a diffence. I am not one for testing really but the dual counter combination seems to be working out. I lvl on dath fighting natchs and I counter about 60% of the time......I dueled a MBH freind of mine and I countered about half his attacks.......again no real hard numbers but thats the feel of it at SW0432 Carb0012.

For final build I want Master Brawler, Master HS, Carb 0042, Medic 0030, and fencer...either 4000 or 0400...I cant take either the melee/range def or +50 KD defense.

Oh btw Nash...think about making your carbineer 0042. You can get charge shot in the special abilites tree.....range KD w no timer....its great.

Thanks,

Grrieg

the counter is a nice thing, but i think it would be sweet to be rifleman/swordsman both do massive mind damage, imagine the bleeds you could do with that on animals/npcs, thats 4 bleeds that could stack , plus if you hit someone in the head and they take off running you could finish them off with your rifle,

Like I said, range isn't my style. I don't plan on ever using my carbine after I master the counterattack line.

Not to mention I doubt I will KD before I warcry. I'd rather wait till warcry sticks before I do. And if I can warcry, I'm most likely in range for a lunge.

Grrieg i would go with the meditate like over either of the fencer lines myself...over all its more worthwhile IMO.

When i am done Holo grinding i plan to master Brawler and Sword then grab the counter attack line from carbineer(If i have heard Good things about the stacking like dodge, or i'll be the first to post about it ) and then the meditate like as well asnovice medic.....if i recall corectly thats close to 250 points

The way i Figure it there are Gonna be 2 ways to build a Super Brawler for a while....Either Focus on your Center of being ability and Stack up on whatever your particular mod is Or Grab all the Stat bonus lines from each of the brawler classes, i've heard a high as 200+ Melee defense is posible.

Well, I haven't really started on it yet, but I'll post about it once I do.

I figured I'd finish a holo profession before I started on it.

So hopefully this combo will be a great one.
