Well you will need some speed+acc and headhit so x4x4 is good to have, melee damage miligation helps a lot too(sword defence tree).

swords isnt really good to solo highend stuff until master, and even better with capped speed.

thanks, but it was me and another swordsman whose buff ran out right as we attacked :0, and it took about 10 seconds to take off about 1/5 of his health, so i figured it must not have been that hard

What type of Kimo did you hunt? GDK?
the enraged dune are the toughest
beeing master swords, master brawler and speed capped with PH ( thanks the FS tree i have a lot of fun hunting GDKs ). I ususallly can beat them in 3 to 6 minutes depending of the number of states they apply me. Disease is not a real pb as , after the first spawn ( 4 GDK ) i'm usually wound capped on all HAM bar with allmost 1000BF and can continue hunting up to end of the buff with usual food and buff.
one very good trick if you've got a TKM friend is to let him aggro first an tank, stay 2m behind him and you can remove your armor!!! you will not receive a single Hit or state and can make him down in less than 3 minutes ( of course this work with all melee!! but TKM can meditatte the wounds )
I've been pretty lucky with GDK scales loot drop rate during the last month and got more than 20 scales which helped a lot my bank account compared to the few K credit i got from the elders!

I believe he's referring to the amount of GDK that will spawn eventually until the spawn is done with. One at a time though.

you're right!! once you kill a GDK, it will respawn usually 3 times more
i had once 3 GDK on the same spot which made a 12 Kills without searching too much

I found a lot of GDKs in a prettymuch straight line between Mount Chaolt (the Volcano) and the Imperial OP POIs on Lok, altho i've heard there's now a static spawn of them near Kimogila town.. they spawn one at a time, 4 spawns out of each spot on the randomly found ones.... killed hundreds of em now and got enough scales for 2 RIS suits and a bit of extra pocket money selling the spare scales
droprate seemed to be about 1 in 30, but drops ranged between 5 - 9 units of GDK scale... need 9 for a full suit of RIS

i would stay away from the static spawn, its usually camped and i heard that the drop rates are less on those. i killed that thing 100 times in the old system and didn't get anything. get a ranged and try to track down some wild ones.
