Fencers, Pistoleers confirmed to both get dual-wielding...yet no word on Heavy Swords.
Fencer offense and defensive actions are based on footwork, not weapon styles. Heavy Swordsman deserve that distinction.
edit: While I agree fencers deserve something...dual-wielding just doesn't suit the fencer style -- dual-wielding decreases your mobility and movement defenses...

I doubt Swordsman will get it. I mean, even the experience is labeled Two-Handed. No, I think the other professions to get it will be Smuggler and Bounty Hunter, since they are partly Pistoleer based. And as far as I can tell through about ten minutes of research, dual-wielding decreases your accuracy unless you're properly trainedor ambidextrous. And in the case of swords it tends to decrease your damage as well, since it's harder to land a good solid hit when you're trying to also avoid piercing yourself with the other weapon. It's usually relegated to Piercing type weapons, and you almost never see someone using two equal sized weapons unless they are small. Usually it's one medium sized and one small sized for the offhand.

Well as a swordsman we only should be themed to go one direction: deeper into the enemy. A fencer, I would accpet to be able to dodge and dart around a mob to get past it. As a swordsman.. I'd rather just smash it and be done.
Also, think of the needed strength to swing around a pair of greatswords.... why would you?!

Yeah, we are HEAVY swordsmen, could you dual wield rifles ? I don't think so.
I do not want or need dual wield, I do however want bigger, scarier swords, think "Nightmare" from Soul Calibur, I want a sword THAT big, I want it to look like I'm wielding a speederbike

For those who became Swordsman only after the Scythe...
"Heavy Swordsman" is not the literal term, it's more of "heavy weapons." ie: Our main Power Hammer
But since you're bringing physical "weight" into the picture -- explain the extreme speeds of the Two Handed Curved, Cleaver, and the Scythe -- obviously I guess those are "HEAVY HEAVY HEAVY" tho. Geez.
All I did was bring up my own point.

Besides I don't even care if it adds damage or extra attacks -- if I wanted an uber-easy to kill you character I'd be a Rifleman.
I'd rather have the looks of dual-wielding.

I agree with the above post, when i think Heavy Swordsman. I think of Cloud from FF7 (well maybe not THAT big, but you get the idea).

Compared to a foil/epee - the single handed lightweight blade of a fencer, a katana, cleaver and scythe, being 2 handed swords are all considerably heavier, but that's not the point;
All of our weapons require 2 hands to wield effectively, either because they're heavy, in the case of the power hammer, or because they're long, in the case of the scythe and curved sword.
This is why we can't be dual wielders, we don't have 4 hands.

/agree
I'm glad we are probably not getting dual wielding. If we got it, it would be alot harder for us to make acase for getting something really useful like a new damage type, a status effect special,or anAP3 weapon.
