for the record...intimdate lowers the enemies damage down to 33%, and stun is 50%.

I am just curious what you guys think would be more helpful to the swordsman profession for the heck of it.
Would you rather have stun or blind?
Noc, I know we sorta addressed this in that PvP balance thread but I'm curious about everyone else so
For those that are a little unclear stun lowers defenses and what not, and blind lowers your targets accuracy. I'm not to well versed on the exact effect of stun but when I slap it on someone with tka, I notice they go down faster.
I'm quite torn between both. Stun would allows us to drop things faster but since we do lack high defenses, which I am well aware are offset by high offense, a blind would kind of substitute for that. Either would help us in PvP and things shouldn't be alive long enough for it to matter in PvE(or you aren't doing your duty as a swordsman *shakes hammer*!!!!). I personally think I perform well in most PvP situations but I do see many swordsman perform poorly so maybe stun or blind would help them out.

HS has very effective COB, putting blind on someone would make us very hard to hit.

Blind would certainly help out my character at the moment till I can get levelled up to Master Brawler and get a few more defences (still torn between fencer defensive line and / or medic skills, which would mean dropping points elsewhere (bye-bye scouting!)
So, blind I think for me - would complement our great offensive capabilities

i'd much rather have stun.....ever been stunned in pvp? and intimidated at the same time? You damage output is seriously limited when stunned and int'd

Yep, stun and intimidate an elder at the same time and they start hitting like toddlers.

Stun and intimidate both reduce damage by 1/3 I believe. So when stacked that means your opponent is doing 1/3 of their potential damage, a reduction of 2/3. Blind will make your CoB better vs some templates, but not all. Stacked carbineer, or pistoleer it won't do anything. To a rifleman up close it will help a lot. A tka won't care about blind, they never miss. Pikemen, and swordsmen will have a few problems with blind, as well as a fencer.
