I was thinking about going Swordsman, and after looking through the counterattack of swordsman, I realized Carbineer also has counterattack. I'm sure this has been spotted before though. I was jsut wondering if it would be worth it to give up BH to get Master Swordsman/Carbineer? any ideas/responses? please...?

It rocks.
Hardcore.
But... the downside is Defense stacking will probably get nerfed. Why? because the devs are *edit*.

well after reading the notes for the next publish it wont get nerfed in that. Its not on test centre and to be honest I cant see why it should get nerfed. Im just going to take the one line in carbineer. If it gets nerfed I will drop it =)

I saw a post, i think from the gcw correspondent, that there was not time to nerf stacked defenses in this round of development....but will happen next patch instead.
With patches coming as slow as they are i'm almost tempted to make an uber stacked just to play in the interim.

how is it useless if your opponent can intimidate? you still wont get hit will you? i am sure that sooner or later you would win if they couldnever land a shot since you have 200 or more counterattack... thoughts?

As far as i've read, intimidate makes you not counterattack at all.(or dodge, or block, if block actually worked)

If you're intimidated you don't block, dodge, or counterattack, and your damage output is killed by 50%. This template is still not useless because you can intimidate as well, and ranged-only players cannot intimidate. Also if you're playing in a team your team doc can remove the intimidate state effect with one cure.

No clue, despite all the talk of this happening, i've never actually found a dev post confirming it, or seen anyone post a link that does.

It got removed when they took out the General SWG Discussion forum. It was a post in which one of the devs (I don't remember which one exactly so I won't say a name) came into a thread talking about the Fencer/Rifleman blocking mods where someone pointed out that they could pretty much walk through anything without getting hit in PvE. The guy was pretty mad about it and posted links to a number of screengrabs and a rundown of the template.

They said that this was not what they intended and that it would certainly be taken care of.

Our counterattack and center of being rules as it is anyway. Even if we cant stack the Carbineer / Swordsman template anymore. We will still have a strong defense.
