Thread: so TKM v. MHS

My friend is going for TKM & I am thinking of trying swordsman. He keeps tell me that when I duel him I'm gonna get PWND.
Does a Master Heavy Swordsman have any chance against a TKM?

Let him say that. Just wait till you're killing 15 tuskens at once while he's trying with little success to outdamage you on one.
In PVP the TK has the advantage. But if you're smart you can beat him.

A pure Swordsman will always lose to a pure TKM. The only chance you have is to have Master Brawler or Master Doctor and the TK doesn't have any of those......

Cakins is right. Pure swordman will get owned by tka in pvp every time.

Its not impossible for a Swordsman with no other combat skills to beat a TKM.
Get some 70-80% kinetic Ubese, as a TKM can only hit kinetic damage. Then..
/Center (of being)
/duel
/Intim
/mindhit2
/mindhit1
Then either spam /headhit, or run, healing when you need to.
If you run, throw a couple of warcies back it him.
Ofcourse, this will only work if you manage to avoid the first dizzy/kd, but there are ways around that too. Like /stand;/healDizzy etc.

I disagree. Dizzy is pretty easy to stand up from, plus our CoB is way better.
If I was just a pure swordsman, I'd start off with a warcry 1 at 20m range, then charge them and smack them with both bleeders, then run, spamming lunge as you do so, and throw in an intimidate too if you can, to prevent them from running away and meditating (though you'd want to try to keep them close enough so that they are stuck in combat, anyways.)
When delivering the final blow, I would then spam DB so that they wouldn't have time to FoW.
If you do get dizzy/KDed, first try pressing forward to stand up. If that doesn't work, keep pressing stand until you don't fall (don't spam it though, if you try to stand while dizzied after already standing up, you will fall down again.).
Oh, and let's not forget one thing. Get some 80%+ kinetic armor, and the TKA is screwed. Lack of armor piercing and bleeds is their greatest weakness!

I made a macro today to deal with TKA and their FOW, havent tested it yet, but sounds good.

pretty sure deathblow takes no time so it wont screw up the timing.
and put that in the slot i have headhit3 in. im pretty sure /deathblow is the correct command, since when i type it it doesnt return an error. can't wait to use it on a tkm tomorrow.
I tried a similar one for rifleman, but to my horror, snipershot is also a normal attack. So between every headshot was a dinky 50 dmg shot. Too bad.

Yeah, that may be a good idea. I already made a macro that automatically loops CoB for me, and a few others...it would make a nice addition.

warcy bleed and run from him.
If your a doctor like me, warcry, bleed then headhit till he KD/dizzys you, then heal the dizzy hit his head again and warcry when u can.

BTW, i tested out that macro tonight...works like a charm.
Just make a macro with /deathblow after the attack, and replace your normalattack move hotkey with it. For instance, i killed a tka tonight with headhit3 and instantly DBd him before he could FOW
