Thread: Swordsman BROKEN in CU

Used the frogs, and had a miserable time. I attack slow as molasses and can't kill ANY mobs my level. Nor can I get xp for anything.
This level system has GOT to go. And 2hspinattack2 needs to return!
I love swordsman. My first master combat prof. Right now I'm afraid I'd have to respec as a TKM/Pikemen. I don't WANT to do that!

question what is your current temp on TC? because i did not find it hard at all to kill mobs my LvL as a Fencer/Swords. It was a tough fight yes but was not impossible. it was quite fun in fact. you also can't expect to get the skills and automaticaly be able to kill everything. it takes time of learning what the skills do and testing it out.
does the system need tweeking Absolutely. Alot of tweeking in fact. also it is alot easier to kill mobs if you dont just use auto attack. you need to use the other attacks in your skill list to attack quicker.

I dont think we are to slow I did some testing the thing is now you kinda need to be double melee elite,,, so you get more general speed bonus,,,,,, also
I did a bunch of Testing PvP now also
template ,,, Master Swords//Master Pike//Master brawler and medi 4-0-4-0 just to test
I Dueled the following and outcomes
MAster Rifle//other range combo--- won easily burst run and KD and head hit,,, intim also,,, very fast
Master TKA and other proff dabbler-- good duel best one so far but won also without much threat
CM//pistols --- beat easily like 4 times he kept wanting rematch
Bounty hunter//pistoleer --- wow stopping shot is nuts,, it roots you to the ground so you cant move for a few seconds but i beat this guy lke 3 times also,,, very good fights
so I am like 11-0 right now using swords and pike skills but mainly swords and a PH,,, all testing done with my Power hammer
lots of fun actually I am realyl enjoying this new system,, so many choices during combat if you try to spam one attack and not react to opponent you will lose

no one is used to it, thats all. ive been playing the game a year and im totally out of my element when i play on tcep3 but am slowly getting used to it

i think i'm 14-0 now.
faced every profession except for tkm's and rifles. and of course CH's but that is diffrent.

One thing i havent understood is the difference between critical strike, power attack, head hit and flurry, i know power attack takes a bit longer but does more damage, but i really havent seen any difference in the other ones, i wish we had some more interesting attacks, but i guess they are all geared for damage now. This isnt really a complain, if anyone can tell me how they work a bit better and how to use them i would appreciate it.

well what abbout just having swordsman... my buddy is a swordsman and hes going tailor as well, so will he be able to kill things still, or is it almost neccesary right now do get a double proff?

from how it seems now it may be needed to get a double prof melee just because then you can Share specials,, share speed bonus, share accuracy bonus, melle and range def shoot up,,, hard to tell but guessing double elite may be the way to go,,,

i would love to be able to walk out of a city or try and PvP without lagging for .000000000001 seconds and crashing

Master Swords/TKM/Master brawler here. I haven't noticed anything about being slow. It's taking me sometime to get used to the Icons. It looks to me like you may want to get either fencer or TKA with Swords to get the speed and defenses.

I'm confused by everyone's reports.
So Basicly what is being said is that if you want a crafting or support profession and a fighting profession, you are complete messed over by this CU, because in order to compete at all you need a double mastery in fighting skills as far a fighting goes.
So why have separate fighting professions at all if a particular fighting profession can't compete in it's own right. Seems like its Basicly split into "fighter and other" with the fighter Basicly picking which variance he is among sub categories of one profession. Instead of actual separate professions. Its like the separate professions mark on these "sub-categories" is a joke. This is terrible. At least in fantasy games, you get other types of fighting style characters that can stand up by themselves and don't require a mixture to work. Sure you can get then in multiple classes, but at least a thief is a thief and not a fighter- subcategory thief. And a Paladin is a paladin, etc. This is very limited IMO from the "sound" of things posted here. Why bother labeling them professions? Sounds like a swordsman is useless by himself. who would want a profession like that? So it appears that crafters/support characters, shouldn't bother with any fighting profession, because they'll always be second class in any fight. This is what I'm gathering from your posts. It makes the CU sound stupid. What mutton-head would envision something like that as a "hit" for multi-interested players, not to mention casual players? Good Grief!
