Thread: Swordsman good without capping speed?

Ok, went Swordsman a ways back, liked it, ditched it for Rifles though because Rifles would be easier to cap. Fastforward a bit... Rifles is proving quite good, it's fun to be able to own nearly everything in sight before it reachs me, but... it's not really my style of fighting, yanno? So I'm thinking about dropping Rifles and going back Swordsman, partly for the FS grind, and partly because.... well, just because. But I know I won't be able to speedcap for quite some time, not untill FS Melee Speed rolls around and I grind that one out. (I'd be picking up M-Brawler as well. TKM/Master Brawler/Master Swordsman/FS Melee Speed, then other FS trees as I grind) Leaving me with only needing a +3 attachment (I got that right?) to cap. But, still... with only M-Brawler, is Swordsman still good overall?

With Master Brawler added with Swordsman, youll still be able to solo high level mobs fairly easily. The key is getting the most damage per second that you can get. For example, with a 3.4 speed hammer, you will be hitting every 1.7 seconds whith a speed mod of 80. Ill provide this link to help you with some calcs that might help you with your decision.

I have master swordsman and master brawler, and it is good. I don't think you can solo ns elders or anything above a juvie kryat, but besides that I can solo anything. Some thing might give me trouble, like Lord Nyax, but if you have good stims and some good bio food you could take him. But I don't think that the high end stuff can be taken without it, so I'd reccommend that you make some room for at least novice medic and maybe 2000 medic for first aid, because those ns can stack up the bleeds pretty quickly.

Dispite what others have said you can solo almost whatever you want only thing I can come up with that will be very annoying is dwb cause it respawns 
. speed capped is just something the leet d00ds like to brag about But a nice speed slice is never wrong.. if the mob isnt imune vs kinetic use schyte does more dmg over time than atleast normal hammers do, and the hammer vs things that kinetic doesnt scratch.

Seems that u never had to fight for your lootrights...By now its quiet easy to become spd.-capped....master brawler/swords + combat prowess 0004...All u have to buy is a "cheap" +4 spd.-tape....

Even if not spd.-capped u can solo ns elders...medic 2040 orbetter nov. doc(cure states)helps a lot cuz u can use those nice enhanced stims e for high heals...use warcry2 if u need to cure bleeds or time to heal/regen...check with /ex what kind of weapon the elder has equip and in case of a stun bat leave her alone if u have no good stun-armor/psg...be ready to cure high mindbleeds and eat a synthisteak if they have any kind of 2h-weapons...i had somebleeds ticking up to 1100 on me...drag her about 90-100m from the spawningpoint so that a respawn will not bring u in trouble...
If some Rifleman starts spaming strafe2 run towards him and spam peace...normalyu cant stand his dmg.-output...if some group starts jumping your elder...just peace and and let them alone...useless to send any kind of tells cuz if peps jumping on "worked spawns" they´ll flame u for being a n00b...

you can solo anything with master swords/master brawler even though it will take a long time. i do. just have a couple of speed sliced hammers with speed PuPs and you will do fine. ive soloed elders, krayts, and just the other night a tusken observer. be prepared to sit at your computer for a long time though

I never meant for it to sound that speed capped is a bad thing (just that people make it sound that way to have an excuse bragging about their ubar super stuff ), just answer his question that you can do alot of dmg and you can kill most things not being speed capped.

Hmmm, I'm speed capped. I'm not a "l33t d00d." I don't brag about it.
To answer your question, you'll do fine without being speed capped, but you'll probably get outdamaged by a rifleman or another speed-capped swordsman on high level mobs.

I've outdamaged a non-speedcapped rifleman before. Dunno what kind of T21 he was using, hehe.

yo Boondizzle from the Lowca server here yo i'm capped on 2 hand spd without any fs boxes
u cap at 95... and it hits fast i solo canyon krayts with a 691max hammer lol well it does have a 260min but i still solo them with the follow template master swords/brawler medic 4340 tka 4000 fencer 0440... np canyon krayts take me prob around 10min to solo so i have a armorweave (prenerf) belt with a +8 2hand spd and a +6 accuracy... a dark sash with a +4 spd and a def vs blind 7 a reinforced shirt with +1 2hand spd +6accuracy +6 evasion +4 melee defence +16 def vs stun my pantalones have a +1 spd in them as well as a helmet i have ... my right bracer has +4 intim +1 accuracy the left has +3 to accuracy so that's what i use to solo canyon krayts... now i'm just looking for that 1k dmg ph... lol i found out that i could solo a canyon krayt by doin the scythe schematic quest wewt

oh yeah one more thing me and a tkm outdamaged 3 rifleman and a pistoleer yesterday on a krayt they already had started killing so i got the loot wewt
