Thats a tough one...

I'd have to say Medic, unless you can weasel 4000 fencer.

If the mob has a high enough accuracy mod, then ranged/melee defense won't help much

I'm a master swordsman/ master bralwer and a novice polotician I can still solo NS by myself.. even with the new changes. I have not fought a NS Elder yet though......

That's good that you can solo them yourself.

Don't expect to be soloing those Elders. Force choke and mind blast are bad on your mind.

I am Master Swords/Master Brawler, I have enough skillpoints left to either do Fencer 2000 or Novice Medic

With the new Nightsister changes what do you think would be better? Stim B's or +42 melee/ranged defence?

I'd go with the defences... Until a combat change, at least they can be multi use (ie accidental pvp, and driveby agro mobs).

Medic skills Deffo

I am/was a Def stacker to the max, and now fightingNSs u HAVE to be able to to heal, they will just wear u down otherwise.

Unfortunately defenses don't help very much against high-end content right now. I'm really hoping we'll see some changes on that ... some day. With CoB up, etc., I basically never counter or evade hits from the really strong critters. So I'd say go with heal. Even with B's you can heal significant amounts of damage and that gives you some extra flexibility in combat.

i'm not familiar with the names of the jedi specials but i tried hunting and elder and the first one i came across hit mefor about500 damage twice in a row (and my combat tab didnt show my armor preventing any damage). so medic is the way to go for these elders.

Im thinking that elders are not gonna be something im trying to solo any more. Seems like with that kind of damage, stim B's aren't gonna help much. Maybe me and my Master Doc/Master Swords friend can take one if we work well together. I am speed capped and can take out a protector in about 30 seconds, wonder how much damage they can do to me before I can kill one.

If you plan on doing elders, I'd say medic they will hit you every time regardless of your melee defense and you will probably want to be able to remove bleeds and heal yourself.

I got smacked with some huge bleeds last night. That hasn't happened in a long time. I had forgotten about it. It's imperative to have some med skills now.
