Thread: What r u going to do with ur remaining 158 skill points, and for what reason??
well i plan on mastering swordsman, no matter if we get more screwed in the future or not (i dont think so since i read the message from Q3P0) cause were a rare, exotic combat branch. Not that whipping out a sweet cleaver and cutting my way thru the narg caves has anything to do with it. of course it not
but i am spendin the rest of tmy skill points on the med use skills and crafting branches of doctor, which i believe are right most columns, so ill go sumtin like 0-0-3-3 or 0-0-4-4 in doctor. ill be able to use the highest level stims and buff myslef out the wazoo.
in scout id finish up at aroun 2-0-0-2 so ii got pretty good abilties when it comes to scaling hills and i can set up multi-person camps.
and ill pour the rest of my skill points into carbineer, which im already 2-0-0-0 or sumtin like that (not on atm) anyways i have charge shot 1, and may go for charge shot 2 if tis fixed, and ill use the rest of my points into the tress that give me more accuracy, and perhaps speed. this is mainly for pvp, since i can use chargeshot to kd them, and put mind bleed 2 on them, and perhaps 2 head hit 3's with my cleaver. i already use this in pvp, since i have charge shot and am 2-2-2-2 sowrdsman, so i use bleed one and head hit 2.
With all those skill i think ill b pretty mean in pve and pvp, but not necesarilly uber in both.(even tho i havnt lost a pvp encounter, as long as it was one on one, 9 straight fights)
and ill be group friendly too, with my buffs and camping skills.
But what i really want to know is what r u goin to do, as im sure some of u have some truly nasty templates in mind, so post away please, fellow swordsman
I am facing this very problem. I know I want Master Swordsman hands down. I love getting into the thick of a fight and going toe to toe. I have narrowed the second skill tree to either Master Doctor or Master CH. The heals and buffs of doctor would be sweet, but my primary is a Master WeaponSmith and I have enough of resource hunting and crafting to keep me happy. With Master CH I have a personal little army to fight along my side, and the movement bonuses of exploration are nice to have too. I don't PvP (yet, that may change) and I am in a group with guildmates for about 50% of my hunting time. We have both CH's and Doctors so It's not like I am going to fill a needed slot. So, do I want big heals and Buffs? Or do I want Pets to help me tank and kill?
If i ever get the chance, i will be doing Master swordsman/master Doctor with Exploration 1 for the hills. This uses up every single skill point i have. Currently though i also have artisan with business 3 for a vendor because merchants are really messed up.
Buy crates of muon gold and you can continuasly heal yourself for 1K+ with stim E's and even Stim C's when you get a good heal. So basically full heal every use. VERY helpful. Not to mention muon gold adds 500 to each mind stat so you basically heal yourself as fast you regen ![]()
So, as a melee'r, my suggestion would be to get some med skills. Even just novice medic you canuse stim B's that will heal you for 500+ a pop.
i almost went smuggler but in the end i didnt, and im happy, since carbineer takes less points. smuggler does rule when it comes to pvp tho, but i think it would b much like my experience with rifleman/swordsman, were i ended up usin my rifle the whole fight, and forgetin my sword.
u have a lot of choices when ur a swordsman, be a ch and have ur pets tank for u in pve and catch those ranged users in pvp, or be a combat medic to heal urself really well and ur friends from a range, and toss a mind poison to compliment ur head attacks, or be a doctor and heal status effects and b able to buff urself out the chimney, or rifleman and own people for afar with ur rifle and continue to cut their mind up when they get close when they get close. or be a weaponsmith and craft ur own weapons...
lots and lots of choices, so keep the posts runnin, im interested
but i am spendin the rest of tmy skill points on the med use skills and crafting branches of doctor, which i believe are right most columns, so ill go sumtin like 0-0-3-3 or 0-0-4-4 in doctor. ill be able to use the highest level stims and buff myslef out the wazoo.

Wrong, take care.
Actually you need to have wound treatment II to get buffs, because you get the ability to enhance attributes from there.
Lots of new docs don't know that, and can't use there buffs 'til they take the box. Hopefully, wound treatment gives better enhance (+25% with first and second boxes).
My dream:
Master heavy swordman+ Master doctor+ scout exploration, same reasons as yours, but I just started two days ago.
LOL
Shhh, Ch complements heavy swordsman.
Right now im
creature handler 3,2,1,2
heavy swordsman 3,2,2,2
medic 4,0,4,0
here the big thing is get pharm 4 and buy stim d's with a med lvl use of 39-40, can insta heal anyplayer or 10-12 heals to completely heal the biggest of pets.
Naw, i dont use pets to tank, that would be cruelty to animals.
I AM THE TANK
My goal is to Master Swordsman and to get at least Level 4 Flame or Acid Rifle in Commando. That would give me long range ability and short range ability. I can't master commando, because a swordsman needs some medic skills. I am a CH, but plan on dropping the skills.
There are too many situations where an enemy runs from me. At those times it is nice to pull out a ranged weapon. Let's see how far they run while on fire.
I'm a 0442 swordsman, 4434 rifleman and am working on CH now. I don't need medic cause I'm always grouped with a doctor.
Rifleman and CH for PvP, swordsman and CH for PvE. I've been awfully tempted to dropswordsman simply because CH is so powerful and offers better tanking ability, but swordsman is so much fun.
Not enough points to master in rifle, swords and still have room for a useful amount of CH, so right now I'm just going to dabble in both until I see what the new combat system does, and whether or not swordsman will ever be viable in PvP.
Right now, if you PvP without eyeshot or a nice creature pet, you're not going to get a very good kill ratio.
