Hi all,
It's seems the new publish has upped my loot luck.
I was out on Dath hunting da sisters and found a nice group of Rangers spawning. About the 4th time through the spawn, I noticed a nice yellow T21 Rifle.. examined it and too my utter shock, was greeted by the word "Exceptional"
I'm also working up Rifle so that really made my fragging solar year. Stats- 345-1150 dmg 6.2 spd a bunch of negative range mods the best is 0+ @ 60m and a condition of 269/749.
The big question is- is the risk of repairing my first big LOOT in a year worth the rist of destroying it totally?
Just wondering what some of you UberLoot veterans out there might advise.

Get a master weaponsmith with a 100% tool to sit next to a +40 crafting station and a droidand let him repair it =) I am sure after that you get some bonus to repairing it somewhere.

they do not get any bonus to repair. there is a item that a tailor can make that gives a + to weapon repair
its simular to the crafting aprons. make sure the 'smith is wearing on and useing a 99.9% or better tool

I believe jedi get a bonus to repair. Might ask someone with the repair line in the FS trees to do it for ya.

Currently + repair doesn't work. I'd hold on to it and try to repair after pub 10. I have a feeling that it will work then. It's one of the FS skills you can get.

I say get a 100 repair tool and go for it. No sense in worring over it. If it falls apart, that will suck but will not end everything.
Take a deep breathe, and as samuel jackson put it "Hold on to your butts", and DO IT. Let us know how it turns out. Good luck.

Yeah, especially when the repair successrates are rediculously low. I think out of 20 repair attempts with a 99.9% tool, i've succeeded without a huge hit to durability, maybe twice? Destroyed about 7, and got marginals on the rest. And we're talking 25-50% durability remaining before the repair.

everytime i've repaired a loot {not a weaponsmith either} they have always gone to 600/600 condition. ......knocks on wood.

Yeah, take it to a WS, have them repair it. They'll have a better shot at doin it sucessfully. EVEN IF! The repair fails, you'll know that you did everything you could.
