Thread: How would you make swordsman a better damage dealer?
Mine include:
Make berserk an actual useful skill. Make this the offencive version of CoB. The damage output should be higher.
Adjust a move to become sort of a finishing move. Have the move do massive damage, but have some negative effect, like a defencive debuff. (for example, hit for 2250 instead of 1900 but decrease defences for 20 seconds)
Anyway, include your ideas so I can get some sent in for the devs to look at.

so are you suggesting either giving swordsman better weapons or making their existing weapons more powerful?

I really like your idea KreyMerr about making beserk like COB it should be master certed and our weapons need there DPS and SAC more in line with other nukers. We are a severe disadvantage compared to ranged professions since they have made it were we have virtually no range ( Taunt doesn't have any range either) so they can steal any npc or creature from us before we even get close to it, lol/cry. They have more variety of high damage weapons 370 base DPS weapons with lower SAC cost??? They can root DJM's, Krayts and such kill them at there leisure.
It would also be nice to have more viable crafted choices of weapons to accomplish our role but the COB/Berserk is nice maybe a combo of speed and damage temp buff ![]()
I really appreciate your help cause I loved Sword and meleepre cu and I really want to love it now but it just isnt viable to be a highend player now as Master Sword...I dont even see anyother Swords most nights ![]()

our number one priority is to have a good sword. (Since all the other proffesions seem to get a realy nice weapon.)
And an improvement to the beserk would me me a happy fish ![]()
Duel wielding would be fun, or, give us some sort of speed benifits.
Decrease our action costs (by at least half) and speed up our attacks, but keep the damage the same. Make us the swift, light on our feet swordsmen we should be, low on defenses but high on power and speed. Maybe, a "heaviness rating" for our weapons could be introduced, that affects our speed. The Power Hammer might have a rating of 1.00, meaning we gain no speed bonus (as it is the heaviest - and hardest hitting - weapon), with the Sith Sword (for example) at 0.25 (meaning a speed bonus of 75%).
Then make the Scythe and Executioners Hack and Kashyyyk Sword (the Wookie Toothpick is fine) all with higher damage values, and varied heaviness ratings. This could also be experimented on by WS's..maybe using lower quality (lighter) resources a lesser "heaviness rating"..the possibilities with this can carry on, into other professions.
I came up with this in 2 minutes, and I understand it would be hard to implement, so maybe just increasing speed and decreasing action cost would do, so we deal damage faster rather then more at a slower rate.
